Okay... I waited a day before making this thread so that I could cool down.
I will preface all this by saying it may just be me. However, it seems to me that B.C.U. is ****** (courtesy of the profanity filter in game, LOL). It seems anytime there is a serious war or event we are not only outnumbered but everyone they have is also higher level and better geared. Sure we may occasionally wind a fight in DenB and we did manage to win one Strategic Point event. Those are just isolated incidents though. Not to mention that as you get higher level (I dinged 67 a little earlier) all the zones are full of the higher level ANI players grinding/questing who proceed to kill you and camp the gate. The only option is to grind lower level stuff in the last haven of safe zones (Island Dream) at .07% per kill or pray that they don't notice us. You have got to be kidding me!!!
I don't really see it changing so I guess its something we'll have to learn to live with. My hope is that once we get enough of us in the right level brackets that we can try out the Arena and gain some PvP wins and WP through that. I know that once I hit 71 I'm going to stop leveling for a while in order to stay in the second bracket (51-71) as opposed to leveling into the 72-100 bracket where I'm sure I'll just get owned.

Also I did get to chat with a GM earlier and got told that once the Beta ends they are not going to wipe the servers. That means that we keep our current characters after the beta ends. So at least that is something to look forward to.Proud to have served with the TG-Irr, TG-3rd, and TG-Mth

Constant unchecked ganking is what puts me off PVP-based MMOs most of the time. Its good when both sides are even, but it does not look good in this case. Oh well, I still have a lot of levels to grind up to so better enjoy it while it lasts. =(
It's disappointing that they wouldn't wipe the servers at the end of the beta, it puts us into a more even playing field with the other team.

I agree. This is especially problematic considering many of the level 4x missions take place in bark city, which is where the majority of the ganking happens. I managed to get lucky and fly in at a time when the gate wasnt being camped and got one mission done. The next mission was a private mission zone, so i wasnt too worried. But the mission after that was back in the standard bark city zone and I got ganked as soon as I started the damn thing. It seems to me that they oughtta set up a private PVP system on certain maps, where both sides can go and fight but you have to ask for battles. Other maps (i.e. the upper level maps) can be open pvp as current.
Problem is that the guys running the show have no control over content.

An example of this is from something I read on the official forums. The GMs wanted just one server (because they know what happened from the previous versions of the game) to have a higher population playing on the same server, and to at least try and balance the levels of players. One of the GMs said that the "higher ups" decided to have two servers instead of one.

Yeah, I think you're right there. I did some reading on the event in general and looked at some old AirRivals and Space Cowboys stuff. It would seem that where we went wrong was not taking Rocks Nest Top before the event started. This allowed them to go into Mesos Floor as soon as the event started and set up the unbreakable gate camp. Whereas if we had gotten Rock's Nest Top before the gate opened we could have been the ones camping, killing the protector, and possible winning the event. Originally Posted by ikill4aliving

I have a different sort of aggravation.
When a quest asks you to go kill 60, 80, or 100 of something, I start to get pissed. Especially when the reason given for it is incredibly lame, doesn't really help me, gives me the same reward as for killing 20 of them, and to top it all off, is given in possibly the worst Engrish I've ever seen.
I am very tempted to just leave the game. WoW is infinitely more interesting...

Kelvin, you dont have to do the missions if you dont want to. I've done most of my leveling without the aid of missions on my AG. The thing that I'm looking forward to is the upper level pvp, which takes a while to get to unfortunately. If you dont want to do the missions, just dont.

But isn't the whole point of an MMO the questing aspect? Story-wise, anyway? That's why I play MMOs. For the quests. I dislike PvP on better days, and despise it on my off days.

I thought PVP was one of the funnest things about Ace... when ever you wanted a break from grinding you could just jump into bark/dens and duke it out.

You can and about 20% of the time its fun to do. But it seems that more often than not when you do go hop into bark/den to do PvP its going to be against 5+ ANI players who most of which have their legendary weps or armor and are lvl 70+ and proceed to camp you for your meager little airman killmark and then camp the gate where you spawn and then when you call for help they tell the rest of their buddies to come so it stays a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio and then they just camp all of the B.C.U. who try to come until we get tired of beating our head against a wall and go grind Metos in Redline(Safe) because we can't go anywhere else due to ANI griefers and campers. Sounds like we just need to grow a pair to be honest. Either that or it's just imbalanced and BCU needs more players.

Its the later of your two options I think. We just don't have enough people that are above lvl 70 to compete with what they have. Maybe after a few more months of ppl on our side grinding and leveling it may get better.

From my experience on ANI (Yes I know we are BCU but I didn't know when I chose.) When something happens they gather up anyone, some people in blue text start giving directions on how to get there. They have a nice little plan made and usually come to dog it out with all the B.C.U. Then after the big battle people start complaining about ANI camping the gate, so we know it's happening, but there isn't much we can do besides whine at the campers. I'm only lvl 32 so it'll be a while before I start duking it out in PVP....when is the recommended level to go to that PVP place? Bark City?
To all PC Gamers who play COD4 and BF2142 and Ace Online. I might be doing machinima making with Pinnacle Studios 12.
