    Age of Conan Beta

    The beta for Age of Conan, while closed for internal testing and for a lucky few, will soon start to ramp up very soon. From what I've read we will start to see alot more players given keys in January and perhaps as early as this month. If you are interested in testing the game and help too add feedback than click on over to the registration and sign up.

    There is a Beta key contest running right now over at the official AOC forums. You just need to register on the forums to enter.

    All you need to do is come up with a creative prayer to the Gods (Crom, Set, etc.). Here's mine, (not really a prayer but a letter to a tongue in cheek Christmas letter to Crom) hope I get a key

    Dear Crom,

    I've been a good Barbarian all year long. I always eat my moose meat, clean up my encampment every night, keep my sword sharp, bathe and comb my Mammoth. I even decapitate every Pict I see.

    I've asked for a bow and arrow but my mother and father won't let me have one. My mom said I will shoot my eye out. My late sister, who was eaten by a Grol, always got what she wanted.

    What I really want, besides higher Strength and Dexterity, an IPod, my own BattleKeep, is a Beta Key. You see, it would be so cool to have one. I would use it all the time and give feedback to squash bugs (I love to squash things) and help make things even cooler.

    Million dollar question: Is each 'beta' stand alone or does it all roll together?

    Example: I'm part of the tech beta on the 16th, but the gamespot key give away is for the PvP content beta. Does that mean I can use my tech key to get into the content beta and if so why did it ask everyone in the tech beta if we would be interested in participating in future tech betas for AoC if our acceptance for the first automatically gives us a place on the future betas?

    It was a confirmed casualty some time ago.

    I have no clue. But, if you get 2 keys, could you share? hehehe

    I am in the Tech beta and I signed up for the PVP beta as well. I don't know if tech automatically qualifies you for the PVP beta. Also, last I heard Sunday the 13th with the next Tech beta.

    As i understand it. There is a general beta going on 24/7 (with down times for server whatnots). The tech beta (this sunday) is only for 3 hours. The PVP beta sounds like it will be 2 days long. After that period you wont be able to play agian, unless they announce otherwise. Your chances of getting in the general beta are growing stronger every day. I read somewhere that they are handing out more general beta keys every so often, increasing the capacity of the servers to try to mimic release day.
