Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
Hmm... Maybe it's in the little book they handed me? I dunno. Not really interested in a free mount anyway. :P

Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
Have they released all the mumbo jumbo about mounts yet? like what lvl you need to be to ride them? Also, players who didnt preorder can still get the mammoth and rhino right?

Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
I believe I may change my pre-order to the Collector's edition. From an interview with one of the devs:
There has been some talk about certain pre-order customers getting an early start, any official word on that yet?
Yes, that quite elegantly came out without us knowing it would, so I guess I can just as well confirm it here. All players who pre-order through selected retailers will be able to access the game three days prior to the retail launch (so 17th of May for US / Australia and 20th for Europe). This is great for us as it means we can stage the flood, somewhat. We will soon send out updated info to everyone in the community, as well as links to all the chains and countries where the offer is up.
I'm a sucker for Collector's editions and the early access is right up my alley. Though I'm assuming your only getting early access with the Collector's edition? Wonder how they are going to work the early access. I'm assuming you have to have the game in hand to install. I'll try and get more details.|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
As far as gamestop goes: All pre-orders get 3 day early access. Collectors edition or regular. And it looks like you'll be charged an additional $5 to pay for a early downloadable version of the game.
I was eyeing the collectors edition, what's making you switch to it? I like the idea of the ring with XP bonuses, but there's got to be some limitation they arnt telling us.

Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
Hmmm....if all pre-orders get the early access I may stick with the regular version. Though, I'm tempted with the collectors with all the features (DVD, drinking cape, book, 5 game invites, etc). All that over the regular might be worth the extra $$$ - plus I've got a gift certificate burning a hole in my wallet.
Intresting how they will work the early access. Not sure how one would access a game without having it in hand. The game ships on the 20th, I'm assuming you need the game to play.|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
I pre-ordered from GameStop last week. I received a receipt and a small book that's basically artwork and some Conan world history. No codes on the receipt or in the book. According to what I've read here, my pre-order entitles me to a free mount and early access, but I haven't seen in information given out by GameStop that tells me how to get these things.

Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
I pre-ordered mine in store, i can only hope they have my email address. Maybe ill check back with them.
As far as recieving your code for the special mount you'll probably recieve a physical peice of paper with your game. When i pre-ordered Vangaurd and got a free item it was inside the game box. I guess the manufacturer knows to put it in a certain number of boxes for each store.

Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
I just changed my pre-order from the regular to the Collector's edition. Make sure if you pre-order you get the book that comes with your order. The previous clerk did not give me one. It's actually an indepth read that's based on another larger book I've seen. I was impressed and was expecting something of less quality. Gives a pretty nice history of the Conan universe.

Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
Anyone speculate on how the early access works? Specifically if you bought the game in store how would one get the early access? Wondering if I should just order via the internet to be sure.

Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
I'll be swinging by the GameStop on campus here later today, I'll see if I can get some info. I know for a fact they don't have my email address, so I have no idea how this is all supposed to work.

Re: Have you Pre-Ordered?
I haven't pre-ordered because I will be moving when the game comes out. I will have to wait until I'm unpacked to join you fine folks in Hyboria.

I just preordered the collectors edition. Here's hoping.
