Simple question...have you already decided to give AoC a spin and thus have preordered yet?
I've preordered (the collector's edition as well since it seems the local has run out of regulars in an odd twist of fate), but will probably make a final decision pending the wider beta period and a first look at the game.My sanity is not in question...
It was a confirmed casualty some time ago.

I probably will order it, but there is no rush (yet!). I'm interested in seeing/experiencing what this has to offer, but...I'm more than a little concerned about another timesink/black hole like WoW.
I'm hoping for a shot at the beta to add some firsthand experience (try before you buy).Beep

On the AoC forums, there is a thread discussing the various pre-orders and their bonus's.
Is pre-ordering from EB/Gamestop the only method of getting the Mammoth bonus? Will it be all that significant for those who do not get it?
Because the standard version can be purchased for as little as $38.99 apparently (as a first time Google Checkout customer).

It says EB/Gamestop are the only places where you can get the free mammoth and pack bag if you preorder.
However it should also be noted that all members of the "Clan of Conan" mailing list will also recieve a free in game item at the time of release. If you haven't joined the AoC newsletter then I suggest you do so soon.My sanity is not in question...

But of course! I should say I will after I come to a decision about which mount I want - Mammoth or Rhino?

I may pre-order soon but first I'm going to wait until the bonuses (mounts and whatever else)
are a bit more clarified. But I will get the collectors edition definitely.
Still looking forward to beta, well I have been since late 07, but I know that some people have been waiting longer.Major-Silva

Wow...the killer rhino is only with that one EUR collector edition and it comes with a 3 day head start. That's kinda cool

I preordered with GameStop. I buy almost all my games from them, plus they have the most bonuses. Gameguide, Mammoth and the extra bag. Plus 3 day head start and 30 day Alakazam subscription (which i probably wont use).

Go back to the website, they added it recently.
"With your pre-order Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, you will be able to participate in the 3-day Early Access Program. Early access period starts on May 17, 3 days before the commercial release on May 20, 2008. You may begin downloading the game client files and installing as early as May 14. With early access, there is a nominal fee of $5, which covers the cost of the download and includes 10 days of additional game time."
So we pay an extra $5 to download the game early but also get 10 days of free game time? Way i understand it is the 30 day trail period will start 10 days after the first day you enter the game, 3 days earlier then everyone else. ??!?

I pre-ordered from GameStop today. Regular version, I think. They gave me a little book... with like, pictures and stuff about the Conan world in it. The book is still in my work bag. Who knows if I get any special things from the pre-order.
I guess even buying a computer game these days can't just be a simple thing, heh.

If you pre-ordered the Regular version from GameStop then you should have gotten the Mammoth mount with your order. I got mine from GameStop with the Mammoth.
