    Technical Beta Testers - Meet on TeamSpeak

    I thought it might be a good idea for those participating in the technical beta to get together on the TG TeamSpeak. I'll create a channel - Age Of Conan Beta - so we can all commiserate. Should be up around 30-45 minutes before the test. Hope to see you there.

    Reminder, if you are participating in the Tech Beta I will have an "Age Of Conan Beta" channel going on the TG TeamSpeak channel this coming Sunday. Join the fun.

    An announcement has not been made on the actual date and time but it's supposed to be this Sunday but that could change.

    When and if I get the date and time I will post. If someone comes up with it please post here.

    Anyone had a chance to apply the new patch? Just curious on the easiest way to apply. The instructions frighten and confuse me :0 Don't want to screw anything up.

    Do you delete any of the 1-10 files and re download them?

    The instructions were REALLY long but all you need to do is create a 'prepatches' folder in your main 'Conan General Beta' folder. After that, download the pre patcher thing and once you run that it'll ask you where you would like to unzip the files. Choose the file you just created (the prepatches folder).

    If you ALREADY had a prepatches folder created, delete it and make a new one.

    Im downloading the main patch now. This game is incredibly huge. Im woundering if i should buy a new hard drive and label it 'Age of Conan'.

    Ah, and no i didnt delete any files.

    Thanks. However, for the 1-10 files and the step.exe I downloaded I did not create a specific folder for those files. When I downloaded and saved the files (1-10, setup) I simply saved them to the generic Documents folder.

    So, those files are sitting in my Documents folder. Do I need to move any of those files over to a new document labeled "Age Of Conan Beta" or any such wording?

    Or, even though I did not create a specific folder to put those files and they are sitting in the general Documents folder do I just run the patch?

    This has nothing to do with the previous beta installer, this has to do with where you installed the actual beta itself. So if you installed the beta to:

    C:\Program Files\Funcom\Conan Hyborean Adventures

    then you need to make the folder there. The ten .dat files and the setup.exe can be deleted if you already ran the installer.

    Tech Beta is ready to go! TeamSpeak channel will be up around 30 minutes prior to start which is 1PM EST and 10AM PST.
