Waiting until the release on May 20th
Given my luck with not getting a Beta key, General, PVP (thanks though Makarov for the Tech Beta key) and not wanting to pay to get into the open Beta I'm waiting for the release on May 20th. I'm not really interested in the three day early access program honestly. It seems like most players want some type of head start so they can level up as quickly as possible. Not really my style of play honestly. I'm not going to rush through the game. If players feel that is what they need to do to for their guilds than all power to them. I'd like the Guild at TG to be more about enjoying the game rather than leveling up. I've waited around four years to play I can wait another four weeks.
Maybe it's sour grapes but I'm sort of glad I did not make it into Beta for perhaps the top reason that I like to be surprised when I first play. Given we are so close to launch, the amount of videos and information on the game it's almost as if I were.|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: Waiting until the release on May 20th
Well, I didn't know about the early access when I pre-ordered. Given the mess surrounding Gamestop not really knowing how to handle store pre-orders for early access, I won't be too disappointed if I don't get in early. Besides, with the size of the download, it might just be faster to wait for the CD/DVD install anyway. :P
Provided that the game doesn't suck or annoy/bore me (there's always a chance), I'll probably level up pretty quickly. When I know that there's an end to the road (level cap), I generally get this crazy drive in me that takes hold and pushes me to get there. I admire the scenery and such along the way, but I find it's always easier to enjoy some things when those things aren't necessarily as dangerous anymore. :P I also like being able to really help out my friends that are moving along more slowly.
We'll see what the flow of the game is.

The faster you level the faster you get to enjoy the better parts of the game (Thats my moto). Not that it's a race or anything...
Tarpan, don't forget that ahead of the may 17th early access they're giving us 5 or so days to get the game downloaded and installed.
I'm thinking this MMO is going to survive no matter what happens. Just look at Anarchy online, that game has to be close to 10 years old, and it's still kickin'. Funcom has got a good crew. Totally different mind-set from Sony.

Smoking, to your points - Your right about the size of the download - Nice to have a DVD in hand on this won as it took hours upon hours for me to download the Tech Beta. Hopefully won't take as nearly as long with the DVD
