This is the most annoying distro system ever. They could at least run some adverts on the page so that my relentless refreshing will be of some benefit to someone, somewhere.

I would agree. I just happened to hit refresh and received a key. Keep trying there is still like five days left to get a key. If I got one then you will.

I hope so. Has anyone jotted down what times they've been releasing the keys at? I'm thinking that 12 O'clock Pac time seems like a likely candidate, if it's based in the Pac time zone and they're hoping to get people who are on lunch breaks.

I got mine early this morning around 7AM. They are all released PST according to the site. I'm certain they do a wave of keys and then release more throughout the day.

The download is around 12GB - Yikes! I'm fearing this beast. The Tech Demo took forever to download. I think all in all it was like 15-20 hours!

Does FilePlanet have sometime of service to speed up my download rate?

Being a member, you'll get your max speeds usually. Depends on how fast your internet connection is. Most I can get is 600kb/s.

They have to do it this way because of the filesize. Too many people downloading would bog down the system.

I suspect the key releases will be relatively random with the number of people that finish their downloads.

I don't know if it will work, but I'm hoping changedetect will alert me when they put up new keys.

I guess fileplanet is giving keys to the people who have signed up recently versus those who have been signed up.

I downloaded last night and into early in the morning today. Took about 9 hours?

When I try to run launch the game I receive the message:

"Fatal Error: Failed to download patch information file"

I'm assuming that message is due to the beta not fully being released yet?

I am guessing yes. I guess the Beta doesn't officially open until May 2? So perhaps it is checking servers that aren't open yet.
