    I dunno about the rest of you, but @ $15/month I'm not sure that I will be buying a subscription after my free month + 10 days (preorder) is up. $15/ month? Really? I was thinking more in the range of of $9.99/month.

    Apparently. I used to play Eve, Everquest, and a few others. They were all $9.99. It's been a couple of years though. $15/month is pretty steep.

    Oh, in that article Capcom also announces they have raised the game price by $10.

    I'm of the opinion that price is not really the issue. Rather, what am I getting for that monthly subscription fee? Is the game fun? Is it something that is keeping me playing for hundreds of hours or more? I'd paid $25 a month for an MMO if I'm having fun.

    The cheapest MMO I ever played was FFXI, and that was $13/mo for 1 character. If you wanted another character, you had to pay an extra $1/mo/character.

    As others have said, $15/mo is the accepted standard for today's MMO's. And, depending on how you pay, it's actually $1 cheaper than WoW is (pay by the month rather than quarter/year is $16). And as far as retail box price goes, $60 is also becoming standard.

    I never bytch about MMO pricing because quite honestly it's the cheapest, most rewarding entertainment you can get for that length of time and price. I know of no other timesink in this world that can keep you engaged for so long for 50cents/day.

    Literally, ONE night out on the town is the equivalent of a year's worth of gaming (including the purchase price)... and all I usually have to show for the former is a hangover.
