open beta??!!! as in really open beta, or need to be a fileplanet member(paid) to get into that beta?

My thinking is as follows.

To get into the beta, I pay fifteen bucks, which is the cost of a month's subscription. I download the game, and play the beta. If I don't like it, I don't buy the full game at release, saving myself something like 35-45$. If I do like it, I buy the full game at release, pay my fifty dollars, and get a month free.

I think of paying for the beta as a sort of a gamble. I'm putting in a little money so I can see if I like it before I put in a lot of money and am stuck with it whether I like it or not.

I was the only one on Teamspeak yesterday for about 2-3 hours last night.... where was everyone! I jumped on at about 4 central, got off about 6 or so.
