Ok..got it going..I just went into the settings and changed the Graphic Resolution to match my Native Desktop... it was a bit higher by default.. Then got to see Conan in all his glory...

Doing a bit of research of my issue on the AOC forums. Zoop, besides your solution which I have not tried yet:
"While at the Login Screen, hold CTRL and hit ~ (the Tilde key)
This will bring up Alot of Options!
we are worried about one in general witch Funcom has not added to the Regular Video options.

in the Top Right you will see a option called * Change Device * click it.
at the bottom of the new options menu that pop'd up is Vertical Sync *Off is default*
Turn the Vertical sync to On, then click ok.
This will dump you to windows and reload you into the game.
Click Yes, i want to keep these settings.
Enjoy!"
I also found this:
"Open the simpleconfig in your AoC folder and uncheck full screen and run it. Then close open simpleconfig again recheck full screen and should be fixed.
Or open simple config in the aoc folders in program files and choose the smallest rez."

yes that works and then you can change your resolution back to native after it displays
