    75% Blue Screen

Help! Seem to download everything OK, then today went to apply the latest update and ran the game. When the game loads, the screen goes black and then it's about 75% blue screen with the quarter left black. Then I get a error report.exe that can be sent to Funcom.

I'm running the Verifying Resource Date Base in the settings tab. This happened to me in the Tech Beta. Anybody have any suggestions? My drivers I believe are up to date. Do I need to post my system specs?

Still sounds like a video setting. Try running windowed instead of full screen.

I unclicked the Fullscreen in the Age Of Conan Simple Settings in the Settings button and it's still giving me the screen. Is there another way to run windowed?

I just downloaded the lastest ATI drivers. I used option 2. I'm guessing that's what I need? I have a ATI X800 XT Video Card.

I'll see if that is the fix.

    Re: 75% Blue Screen

When i JUST now ran it, it said i don't have the right drivers, so it said i need to get nVidia Display Driver ForceWare 169.21 or later.. well, i downloaded it, and it seems to load perfectly... wait a second.. wheres the graphics?? I hear the music... yeah there's the nVidia tune playing through their loading screen... and sounds like thats the AoC menu music... well.... why is the screen still black... hrm....

Yeah... i hear all the music, but not one single speck of anything appears... its all black... i sat here for about 10 minutes seeing if it was just loading, but nothing... anyone got any ideas? I have a 8600GT... and just installed those drivers.... sooo.... help!!

EDIT: Sorry for throwin' my own problems up here FatKid, but maybe we can both get answers from one thread.

I ran the Age Of Conan launcher again and still the same problem. I'll redownload the files. If that doesn't work I'm not sure what to do.

    Re: 75% Blue Screen

Just deleted the files so I could re down load. Went to the File Planet site to re down load but am getting on the File Planet DownLoad Manager a Net Work Error sign with a red exclaimation point. Do I have to go another route to re-download?

What a nightmare! This kind of s*** always happens to me.

    Re: 75% Blue Screen

Hey FatKid, have you tried putting it in windowed mode? I just put mine into a window and now it works, with almost perfect quality.

EDIT: Oops, nevermind, Zoopy already gave that advice. Sorry. =(

    Try these things:

    Things

There's a highly unlikely chance that your download is corrupt so redownloading is a horrible waste of time. Its just a video problem.

Thanks. I'll try those fixes when I get home. I think your right it's not the download but since I'm at work all day I'll at least it give it a try.

Sort of weird as all my other games run fine. Guess it happens to that one game I've been waiting to play forever.
