Connecting to the Open Beta with a TechTest/Gen. Beta client
Here's the solution for the problem I had (which I'm sure many people here had, especially gen. betatesters) in that I was using the General Beta client to try to connect to the Open Beta (I DLed the Gen beta from a mirror site, which was MUCH faster then fileplanet). The Gen. Beta wouldn't patch nor allow me to authenticate, however the patcher did.
Anyways, I'm a happy man... I knew there was a fix somewhere; here it is:
