Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
Well, I think you're going to run into some of us PvE types that are on the other end of the spectrum, not wanting to play on a PvP server no matter what.
I've brought this up before, but I'll bring it up again for everyone. Think hard about what the PvP draw of Conan means to you. Do you really want the dog-eat-dog, I can possibly be killed at any moment so I had better play with a group at all times or not play at all world? Or do you care more about the massive Borderlands PvP conflict where you build, attack and defend keeps in siege warfare (we can probably throw the PvP mini-games in here as well)?
If you really want the option of possibly being slaughtered any time you leave a city, well, obviously the PvP server is for you. But if you really just care about the siege warfare, you still get it on a PvE server.
Personally, even though I'm mainly PvE focussed, I still totally want to participate in the Borderlands conflict. I simply don't want to get ganked while I'm out questing or just plain looking around. For those who's answer to that is to always go out with a group, I pose this question: How fast are you going to get tired of either 1) babysitting other characters while they quest or 2) realizing that you have to wait on a group of other people every time you want to do the slightest thing safely? I don't look forward to either option.

Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
This thread is already getting a little hot. (not as if i didn't expect it to).
I can see both sides reasons. Obviously there are going to be those die hard either way. But are we really going to split the guild into two servers? That is the question it is ultimately going to come down to.
I would hope that we didn't have to.

Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
SmokingTarpan: Completely agree with you. I know the differences. I've played on PvP servers since UO and even on Rallos Zek (the EQ PvP server). To me, the danger of it is most of the excitement. I even played the PvP servers on WOW, despite the fact it was pretty gimped.
That said, I respect those that want to play on PvE server and enjoy all the same things the PvP server has (except the chance to kill or be killed everytime you venture out). :PIt is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
I don't see this as an either or choice. I'll play both. So far the voting is split evenly. I'm certain we can fill up a party with both play types. One night I might feel like playing PVP the other PVE. Choice and varying play tastes is not a deal breaker for the Guild.

Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
personally, I never been ganked repeatedly, and not even enough to be frustrated. Fortunate, I suppose.
if we go with PvE, then your pvp is limited to drunken brawls and siege, and there is more to that in pvp especially with mounted combat (ohhhhh the possibilities of that in the open(outside siege) vs ur opponent or opponents).
To those that had bad experience on pvp servers, I'd say it will not be that bad since you will be in TG, 2nd - that bounty system better be in the game or it will suck!

Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
I honestly still don't see how this is going to matter, really. Typically in MMO's, people group up only for harder things like dungeons, raids or super-hard quests. Much of the game is done in solo mode until the endgame. The idea that I'd be forced to group on easy quests or daily wandering just for safety's sake is kinda sad. Throw in conflicting play schedules and differences in the speed of people's advancement and it gets difficult.

Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
False. There are pvp minigames, which TG will probably WTFPWN as we're that tactically minded and skilled.
This is very true.
I just see PVP servers as being bad.
I'll progress slower.
I'll not see the end game or seige warfare as fast. (Which is the whole reason to play, IMO... I won't be playing AOC just to level characters.)
I'll be forced into playstyles not fiting my time or personality... the list goes on.

Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
Well, seeing as the radical PvE players have a stronger point than the radical PvP players (that including myself) ill switch my PvP vote over to PvE.
Reason being: PvP whores (me), will be ok in a PvE AoC server. But PvE whores (otherwise known as anti-pvp-server-players) will NOT be even a little bit ok in a PvP server. and the last thing i would like to see is the guild get split into two different servers.
Tfkd, trust me, as the casual gamer you seem to be. You will not want to have two different charecters in two different servers.

Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
They are not going to allow us to switch servers with our characters? I know some MMO's allow to carry your character over, and some don't.

Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
In my experience, MMO's typically only allow you to transfer characters when server loads become an issue. For example, in WoW they will offer a free character transfer from Server A to Server B (they pick the source and destination servers) if Server A becomes too heavily populated.
It's only recently that WoW has allowed players to transfer characters "freely" for a cost, and it comes with restrictions- such as you can move a character from a PvP server to a PvE server, but not the reverse. You also have a "cooldown" on your character once you transfer him. It took 3 years for WoW to implement this, so I don't really see AoC allowing it off the bat. If they eventually do, it'll likely have restrictions as well (otherwise what's the point of having multiple servers?). This is just my educated guess though, I haven't read anything official about it.
I agree that splitting the guild between two different servers would make things kinda rough, and anyone trying to play on both will probably get a big headache. However, even if there's a chance that I might not play with TG (I'm bringing 1-2 RL friends of a similar mindset into the game) if the majority wants to go on a PvP server, I'd still say take the majority opinion into account. I'm strongly PvE-intentioned, but I don't want to be one of like 4-5 guys that causes another 15+ to be unhappy. My main goal is to point out that PvP (at least the big, mouth-watering types that most of us seem to be into) can and will still happen even on a PvE server.

Re: Which server-type do you wish to house the TG guild?
Yea, definitely going to have to have two guilds on two different servers. It's just not going to work without doing it that way. Too many set on one style or another...

Also, one thing to keep in mind: You lose PVP experience when you get killed by another player. You gain PVP experience by killing other players. Despite the bounty system being in place, I still see this system rewarding spawn campers and gankers.
