Fatal Error

I'm getting, "Fatal Error: failed to download patch information file".

It's also telling me in the background that the closed beta servers are down at present.

Please don't tell me I've managed to download the closed beta client by mistake, please?

What's your LocalConfig.xml file say?

Well in the mean-time i decided to reinstall using the attached file instead of the setup.exe hopefully this'll work out better

In retrospect this was probably a bad idea considering the install took over an hour last time.

This is what happens when I open it with Notepad. IE and Firefox just comes up with some sort of error.

Looks like the general beta config.

Try changing it to this:

Probably should leave the patch version field the same.

Seeing as how i used the same download link as you, i will be beyond bummed if its really the wrong file. However just by looking at the file name though, if we assume "20080416" is the date, april 16th is about the time the fileplanet beta was released, right?

Please update with zoopy's suggestion also
