New patche(s) are up!
Welp, the time has come to get a good look at this "miracle patch" everyone is talking about. Supposedly, it makes the game nearly flawless in performance... even on lower-end systems.
And just in time for the pvp event tomorrow (err.. today)

I can vouch, this is running a lot more smooth.

Running smooth. Though, I'm glad I've got a new computer on the way as my current PC just can't really handle the demand.

Re: New patche(s) are up!
I stopped playing because of the constant crashing, but decided to try again with this new patch. I patched, got in, buffed to level 20. I ran around for 3-4 minutes and pressed ESC to bring up the menu--crash to desktop.
Sad to say, this will be the last time I give this game a try anytime soon. Maybe in a year or so when it is playable in Vista.Twisted Firestarter

Re: New patche(s) are up!
The ESC bug is very minor and they're aware of it. It wont be an issue at launch. Actually, the same thing happened to me - but, it only happened once. Thereafter it never CTDd again.
I'd say you're missing out on a great game if that's the only reason you've got not to try it. And in a year, you'll most likely be playing Spore, Jumpgate, and/or WAR... it's kinda like "get it while it's hot."
You COULD also grab a pre-order card and play for 10 days (to judge the release client) and simply not get the pre-order when it's available. It's worth it for $5.Last edited by Gambit7; 05-12-2008 at 07:33 PM.

Re: New patche(s) are up!
I never crashed on my end when hitting ESC. Just a bug error popped up, and I pressed continue, and the game popped back up a few seconds later.
