    **Character Builds**

Figured I'd start a thread on character builds. Basically, this is just to share with others your idea(s) for how you want to build your character. Which race, class, gender, etc. Most importantly, how you wish to spend your skill and feat points.

Use this calculator to plan your Feat Tree:
    http://feats.goonheim.com/
Then copy/paste the link it gives you at the top (after you lock it) right here in this thread.

Currently, I dont believe there are any calculators for skill points (climbing, mana regen, etc.) But one could give a general idea of what they're trying to do.

Of utmost importance here is basically having a place to store your builds for later use... rather then having to fumble through stuff in-game. Simply alt-tab and look here for your build so you know where to put your points. This is invaluable to make sure you get the feats you want by the end of the lvl tree (you only have "x" amount of points to spend).

And no, I have no idea how I'm gonna build my char. I'll be working on it tomorrow though.

    p.s.
should probably wave the "sticky" wand over this thread methinks

Just a note, the calculator there is flawed, at least for the assassin. The feat trees in the game actually have level requirements per tier, but it's not reflected on this calculator. For example, in order to spend points in Tier 4 of Unholy, not only do I need to have spent 15 points in Unholy so far, but I also have to be level 25.

This doesn't seem like a problem, but because you get an extra feat point every 10 levels, it creates one. I'm level 24 and have the points to be able to get into Tier 4 feats, but I don't meet the listed level requirement.

    The Angry Conqueror

    Here's a build I'm working on:
    http://feats.goonheim.com/conqueror#...e1f2i3j3m1n1p1

It's basically a DPS/support-Conqueror (i'll call it the Angry Conqueror)... built around Fire Weave, Bleeds, Rage, and heal/speed/dmg buffs. Note, I went deep into the soldier tree (there's some good stuff in there). There are also some REALLY good group buffs available in the Carnage Tree, even though most people look at the Brute tree as the support tree.

I stayed away from concentrating on DW only feats, because I believe in the utility of using 2H for certain situations. This is the reasoning behind the generic dmg. increasing feats... since they work for both martial types.

The other mantras here are counterattacks, speed, and cunning (LOW Hate). Note the soldier tree and carnage's War Lord March. Skills will concentrate on Endurance and high run speed.

I think I've got more points to spend since the calculator doesnt give me the xtra points at lvl 20, etc. In this case, the points would go into. improved defensive stance. (Conqs cant carry shields or plate armor)

    Thoughts?

    note:
I know everyone's googoo over the Brute tree... but, the carnage tree has a 35% dmg increase to the group, along with group healing and inc. movement speed... all that stay with the conqueror, rather then a banner in the ground.

    Raiden

Here's the build for my Tempest alt:
    http://feats.goonheim.com/tempestofs...A1t2a5b5g5n5q1

It's basically a Thunderous DPS-Priest. Not ideal for groups, but great for inflicting stupid amounts of dmg on people. Note the priest tree and thunder tree choices. It concentrates on focusing electrical dmg while shielding, damaging, and mitigating damage from foes. Dmg from opposing electrical sources is mitigated heavily by silence and static blood.

Look at this guy as a walking cloud of lightning... anything that gets close is shocked into submission. Kind of a Raiden type character. A key component in this is also the Idol of Set... which does the same thing remotely.

Only thing with this is Electrical resistance... if u get resisted ur basically in trouble, albeit you have some melee skills and shielding as backups.

Is that for PvP? Its quite confusing, we have 3 feat trees for guardians, and 2 of the trees have nearly the same effects (i.e Resistances and Tanking skills), and the other one is weapons specialisation which focuses on Damage dealt I suppose.

Has anyone found out whether it is possible to reset the feat points once you spent them?

Yes, there are feat trainers in each big city (Old tarantia [Trainer] is in temple)(Connach Village [Trainer] is near the wagon once you travel there). Not sure where the Stygian counterpart is, but probably somewhere near a temple or in the middle of the city.

This is my PvP ranger build.

This may need alittle tweaking but this should be quite effective.

Hmmm...my Level 32 Guardian looks nothing like the builds here. I think I'm just coloring in feats so to speak without knowing what I'm doing. I need to re think before I commit to anymore points.
