Re: Whose had a chance to play the early release?
Very impressive.
Load times = MUCH faster
Combat = MUCH smoother (than beta)
Im on the PvP-RP server Cimmeron and it is very enjoyable. Questing is intese and fun. There are groups out there who are geared for ganking. But there are many more groups out there who are just out there to level.
When i turned level 15 I got in a group with some other guys in TS. It was very fun. Very little ganking when your in a group.

I just hit 16, taking a break for the night.
Overall seems much smoother than beta, though I have noticed glitches here and there. Note to unholy assassins: don't use your consume souls ability in combat. It possibly only happens when you have no soul shards and try to use the ability, but your character will lock up and be unable to swing, use abilities or do much of anything but move. That = you die.

Its night and day versus how the beta was. Much better. Now all I have to do is settle on a class, and I'll be golden.

One class. One character. That's how I roll.

Re: Whose had a chance to play the early release?
I stayed up for 14 hours straight playing this game... stopping to eat. I've got 3 toons on the rp-pvp server and 2 on the pve. (sigh)
I'm slowwwwwly starting to decide to play Conqueror.
I got a good 6 hours of sleep so I'm back at it right now.

Conqueror, huh...? just wondering, what other classes have you tried out? And why conqueror?

Re: Whose had a chance to play the early release?
Conqueror here, with a Barbarian secondary.
As to why, I've played it through out the closed beta and just loved the ability to kick ass in combat as well as being able to buff your group.
For pure damage and mayhem though, nothing and I mean nothing matches a Barbarian. Let the bodies hit the foor...It's all in the Reflexes.

Re: Whose had a chance to play the early release?
Conqueror actually has more abilities and differing playstyles then all the ranged classes I played (including mages). I found that quite intriguing and it kept my mind spinning. Yeah, they're a bit mushy (no shields and no plate armor) and they dont dmg as much as an Assassin... but you can mitigate these faults with smart play and smart skill/feat choices. They DO have the most HP in the game though and deal the heaviest dmg of the soldiers. They're also the only soldiers that can dual-wield from day 1.
The other classes I've tried? Necro, Ranger, and Tempest.

Re: Whose had a chance to play the early release?
How'd you find the Necro and the Tempest? The Ranger (I'm guessing) is a standard bow and arrow affair, right?
