Cimmeria Server Discussion Thread

Well, since it looks like TG will be heading to Cimmeria for PVP goodness, I thought I'd start out a thread relating to the (now official) server.

My character names on the server are Croix & Rincewind. I'm putzing around Tortage on Croix and name-holding on rincewind

Maybe we could get a Sub Forum for our newly selected server?

Just wanted to give a heads up, there are members of the 4th that are orginizing on the Chimerea server as well. We are looking at doing some of the more darker, dirtier things that a Merc guild may not be up for. Extorting the locals, Assasinating(ganking) characters, general mayhem, that sort of thing. We had a fun time in the Underhalls lastnight trying to extort the locals. Now, if we had only realized that Ranger Snares cause agro and does not allow trades to happen... We might have made some money. We are Rogues and Assasins after all. What was really kewl about it though was OOC chat. The Locals didn't whine about the ganking, much. Mostly people acknowledging it was going on. Only one person actually tried to orginize a party to protect him in OOC. Infact, there were a couple people in /tell's, to me, that acutally complemented us on RPing the whole thing out. If you see Taki, Sloppirav, and Luthors running around somewhere together, be warned, you may have to pay a toll... Unless your TG, maybe...

Me and Undead did a similar thing the other evening (just to have a taste). Definitely, if you RP it out people dont complain as much... and in reality makes THEIR gameplay more immersive and better. It's exciting to be hunted on occasion in a deep, dark, dungeon like Underhalls. Basically, we just shouted in every area warning the newbs there we were after them and the Underhalls and its spoils were ours for the taking. Not a soul complained really.

One of the benefits of being on the RP server I guess...as long as you have an EXCUSE (RP) to pvp you're ok... heheh

I think we need something more roleplayish, and im not too fond of the latin and greek translations.

Im a Chimerrian Guardian, on chimerria server. I had some GFX problems, very low fps, so I bought a better video card with Shader 4 and DX 10 support. I havent tested it out yet because some god damn Age of Conan 15 Gigabyte update keeps coming up, and theres gonna be another one just after I download the current one.

Just an update on the Toll tactic. You can't trade in instances, but you can party and trade with them. If they refuse, boot them out and kill them. The other option is to have a person outside (in this case Harbor) to collect tolls for those that actaully RP and pay up.
