    PvE server head count

    I'm trying to get an accurate count on how many people are actually on the PvE server (Zug). And by "actually on" I mean people who will be playing their main character there, not hopping between servers or playing once in a while. Right now our numbers are amazingly sparse, and I've also never seen anyone other than myself and Grieg in the PvE TS channel. I swear we had more interest a few weeks ago when we were planning things.

    If your main character (90%+ of your playtime) is or will be on the PvE server (Zug), please post here with the name. If you don't match the previous sentence's qualifications, please don't post or start a discussion. I need numbers and names, not a discussion on why everyone should be on the RP-PvP server.

    Well, here's the deal so far. I've had very little response from people (both here at TG and at Focused Gaming) as to the PvE side of things. Most people seem to be going where the numbers are, and that's the RP-PvP server.

    In an effort to avoid having to recruit lots of strangers just to meet guild requirements for a city and such, I'd ask that the PvE-minded people try out the RP-PvP server (Cimmeria) for a bit. Quest around, make sure you try playing in the PvP-enabled areas of the newbie zone to see how bad ganking and whatnot is. I'm giving it a shot as well, even though I don't prefer that server type.

    Make sure you hop on one of the groups' TS when you play so that you can talk, find groups and ask for help if necessary.

    TG-WoW (pve server) started out with just a few folks. Those few folks grew it into probably 1 of the 5 best guilds on Thunderhorn. And mind you, very few of the folk who play were derived from the ranks of TG-FPSers... they were largely new faces.

    I have a friend who will be coming along to he will most likely play a healer. I'll post his name when he gets the game installed. i have ts setup.

    Tarpan has one of the highest characters on our pvp server, and he is (or was) pro pve .

    Fatkid, saiko and I had a lot of fun pvp'ing while questing, and the feeling you get when defeating other players that jumped you, and they are a level or 2 higher, is superb (I'm refering to 3 guys that tried to gank us and died all 3 of them while 3 of us lived ).

    For the record, I have officially swapped to the RP-PvP server.

    While there have been issues, they're bearable by my standards at this point. I've made it to level 42, and have only been attacked by other players a very few times (and only in a few of those did I die). Overall I'd rate the overall PvP skill on this server as "bad".

    I'd still encourage people to try it out in an effort to consolidate people, though I'm sure my level of tolerance is different than others'. White Sands in the newbie area is the only place I've heard a lot of griping about. If it's not your thing though, then it's not your thing, no worries.

    I have the mammoth, but I've only ridden it once. It's not any faster than walking, hard as hell to turn, and riding makes your screen sway as if you were on the animal itself. My ride lasted all of 10sec. :P

    More than one person can GM a guild in AoC, oddly enough. So if he's strapped on time he can easily retain his position while sharing the duties.
