Alright so you've gotten a feel for this game. Tactical gamer is receiving flak in the RP server because of the guild name, losers RP blows. New people are buying the game and joining other TGers only to be 20 to 30 levels behind. So the 21st will be giving you new comers a bone and you experienced player a chance to restart with a group. This weekend sometime Thursday - Sunday the 21st will be starting new characters on a new server together. The details will be PMed to anyone who signs up here. It will probably be PvP non RP but this is not final. These will be Weekend Warriors! Characters that you can play in a group on the weekend when more people have time! These don't have to be your main character in fact it should be a secondary weekend group character! This is also a chance for people to try out a new class while being protected by a group! After determining interest we will have more info like times and days. Info will be out by thursday so thursday can be spent installing/patching/getting past the first few single player missions. This way on Friday night we can all meet in front of the tavern in turtage(starting island) and quest together.

I'll be around Friday evening. Being a Weekend Warriors thing, meaning it is a secondary character, wouldn't any server be okay? Cimmeria is under heavy load often and may be hard to get everyone easily into a Friday night group run. For those who live to game please try not to bring in a character that is so high that we end up fragmenting a group because you've already done the first five major quests (or some such thing). I'm imagining a few people bringing level 10, for instance, while others bring in level 4-5 characters. wouldn't be as much fun for those bringing the higher level characters and waiting for lower levels to get up to speed.

I'm going to get crazy and start a class I would normally not play.

As far as leveling we can all start out roughly the same time as it does not take long to get to Tortage.

Also, I'd like to keep our RP-PVP on the same Cimmeria (if that's ther server type we play). I know this is a 21st decision but I'm thinking for the TG AOC community as a whole. It will make coordination of play time that much easier if we have it one the same server as the main.

Uhh.. no offense but this kinda contradicts the point of a guild. I would suggest everyone STAY on the same server and STAY in the guild (so what, we have to change the name... big deal, it's takes 2 seconds to do in the guild manager, and many other people/guilds have to do the same). If you want to form a "Weekend Warriors" group, by all means... form a TS channel and a sub-forum thread [we've already got a Guild Squad sub-forum up], but dont go trying to split up the guild. That's contradictory and non-helpful.

We're just about to get the Keep up and running (which will give everyone a place to hang out as well as a buff). There's LOTS of people in-game now willing to help and more are coming. PvP runs and practices should be starting soon, and more. Things are going well. Trying to split up again would be bad news IMO.

If you go to the regular PvP server, be prepared for immature gankiness also. And in the end, you cant change the game design - which is 3 different uber-large quest zones with long chains. No matter how "grouped" you get, someone will always be out of wack. Your odds are better sticking with the pack.

I guess I dont understand the benefit of this... why not just make an alt and group with the people you like to group with, while staying in the guild? (I myself have done this to help people learn the game) Do you wish to simply split off and form your own little guild? (which is bad form to do on a TG guild forum btw)

I like the core of what you're getting at (i've seen it before also) but, school me on this 'cause I think I'm misunderstanding somehow...

I think the idea Meat is attempting to explain is that everyone has a main character that they have been playing from the time they got the game. This is the opportunity for those who want to try out a new class and still group with TGers to be in a group of similarl beginning level characters. I don't think it is about creating an entirely new guild. I think the use of group is simply in game everyone grouping up to do same quests not group as in forming a new guild.

Yeah, you are absolutely correct Gambit.. but I think an organized run on a regular basis through Tortage is a good idea. It'll make some of the humdrum of leveling alts through Tortage a little more fun and social. Plus, new players will get some guidance through it.

BUT.. Yes, it should be on a TG selected server and with the TG selected guild name if the players expect to be contributing TG guild members. Plus, if you stick to the TG selected servers, you can hook up with -F- members too! We like seeing you guys around so.. it's a real good idea to keep things together - it works for all of us.

The original idea was to play on a non - role play server for the weekend warriors, mostly so we can all use our TG names which are not compliant with the RP rules. Nothing is final yet but i really like seeing names i've already come accustomed to. Server will be chosen tonight and PMed to all interested so you can have your character created and have gained access into Tortage for multiplay starting Friday night about 8 or 9pm est.

Note: This is in no way an attempt to split up this guild! I am still playing my RP-PvP chimmeria player as my main player (lvl21 Lordmeatwad -name soon to change to meet RP rule set) and wish to remain in the tactical gamer guild. I really like the idea of PvP practice!!! What lvl do we have reach?
