State of our Guild City
Would like to get a feeling from everyone on where we stand with the Guild city. I know everyone is concentrated on quests and leveling up so I did not want the city to fall by the wayside as it's important for the Guild. Also, it's one of the cooler aspects of the game which has alot of potential, endgame, sieges, etc.
-Do we have enough resources (gold, etc) to move into the next phase of construction?
-Do we have sufficient player base to keep construction and maintenance going?
-Do you as a player venture into the city to collect resources, etc?
-Has anyone made contact with our neighbors? Do we need an official contact with them?|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: State of our Guild City
I think we have more than enough resources to continue and posssibly even enough gold. it's just that people are saving up for Mounts and i can understand people wanting a mount rather than having to donate the money so it's just down to whether people are wiling to donate or if its more productive for us all to have mounts or continue construction.
We have enough players to continue construction (although it will be at a slower pace) but i have no idea whether or not we will have enough players to defend against NPC's or keep up with maintenance.
I personally do. Don't know about others although i think everyone has done so at one time or another.
The day we Booked the city i had a talk with an IMPERIUM fellow and he seemed quite down to earth if a little conservative with the information he would give me about his guidld. I Do feel it would be good for us to contact them officialy although i have no idea what would be said.Smurfs law - Though Shalt back track wherever possible

Re: State of our Guild City
Reason why the city isnt being constructed is simply because cities dont currently work. They dont give buffs and the abilites arent active. If this fact has changed since release, please let me know... as that would obviously change everything.

We've got some new structures added to the Guild City! Keep those donations to the Guild Bank coming!

Re: State of our Guild City
We need to get that inner wall up so that the Keep's buffs become active - if I remember correctly, nothing in the city will work (there will be no NPCs) without the wall. Also, once the walls are up - you start getting attacks by NPC cities... supposedly

Re: State of our Guild City
I propose we finish the city in the following order:
Weaponsmith Workshop
Armorsmith Workshop
Alchemist Workshop
Architect Workshop
Keep Towers
Keep Walls
Perimeter Towers
Perimeter Walls
BTW The buildings have to be built in a certain order. The walls can be built anywhere anytime once the keep is up. The reasoning for doing the buildings first is because it's going to cost us 1.25G for each structure including each and every section of the walls

Re: State of our Guild City
I noticed last night we had almost three gold in the Guild Bank. Shall we proceed to building the next two?
Also, I'd like to be there when the structures are built. Perhaps we need to post and announce the where and the when of the next build. Maybe we could do that at the next Guild meeting.|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: State of our Guild City
Update: I've personally taken on the task of gathering enough resources to finish the 4 buildings. All we need now is a total of 5G in the bank to accomplish this. Currently we have
3.17, so that means we only lacking 1.83G.
Heres my totals for whats necessary for the walls
88.75G
200 Copper
1420 Sandstone
790 Ash
The gold requirement for walls is absurd. And if you think that's bad take a look at what we'll need for tier 2, or even tier 3. I'm seriously hoping they lower those...Till then get out there and quest and keep those donations flowing.

Re: State of our Guild City
At the Guild meeting Saturday night we raised the gate and two guard towers. We will be raising the structures during the Guild meetings so make sure you attend!

Re: State of our Guild City
We should probably re-re-re-discuss what we'll build next at the next meeting.

Four (five?) new buildings were built during the Guild meeting on Monday. Next is the first tier walls. It's looking more and more like a city!
