Re: Critical Mass
Xen brings up a great point about the role-play nature of our game. I'd really like to see this kind of interaction woven into our allegiances to one another.

Re: Critical Mass
From a TG SM looking inwards at the AoC system from the outside; Specifically taking care not to delve -too- deep into figuring it all out... I'm freaking Confused! I always take the vanilla player approach to games, If I have to work too hard to figure something about the game or group, It means it may turn some people away.
If the whole idea behind the groups that you have created is obfuscation, I think it's right on track.
Beep may remember my style back from WoW. I was one of the behind the scenes pushers of splitting the guild back years ago, for the different playstyles each player had and their skills. It was one of the frustrations that lead me to part ways. As far as I can tell now, however, that same wow guild is going pretty strong, without the need of the split after all.
I think TS is a pretty valuable tool for AoC, specifically because of the multiple groups that play. I've been on TS two or three times and seen people in the various channels. Introvert here; Not really too keen on busting into what appears to be a private channel with a bunch of people I don't really know. But here's the thing; the TG Group here is interesting me, and I'd like to try to find a group that meets my style of play, but end up only stopping in and saying hi to Beep and Stendal, as WoW Friends.
Again, not saying that It's not here somewhere on the forums, but I'd be lying if I told you it was easy to figure the different sects out, I purposely didn't look too hard.
Just my thoughts.RAWGRLRLRLRRLGLRL!!!

Re: Critical Mass
I always type up things to say .. then delete them and never post.
I will say I think it would be bad to merge the guilds.
Peoples wants from the game are different. I like to pop into the inn and lurk while folks RP, I don't want to have to do that for three hours every Friday night. I'm sure the RP folks don't want to have to raid every Monday night.

Re: Critical Mass
Just want to point one thing out. Fyah29, Grimmfist, and Myself play mostly nights EST. As either of them can support me in this i have meet with about 5 to 10 Ars Tactika in game over the past month. EVERY time i stop and attempt to RP with them. EVERYTIME i am ignored and they run away, to impatient for typing i guess. Fyah has had to say in game 'HI TG' just for us to get noticed and then ignored. SO just a heads up to the "TG" guild: LIONS OF TYBOR is your ally and to reiterate what was said earlier this is an RP server.
PS Ars makes me think @ss just a sugestion

Re: Critical Mass
Hmmm...I don't believe I've ever run across a LOT member in game but I could be wrong. I can't speak for anyone but I'd be surprised if someone would flat out ignore you. Not saying it did not happen just there is probably a good chance they did not see your message or realize who you are. I miss messages all the time in game as I have my text separated by Guild, OCC, etc. and don't always see messages. I still have problems sending a message in game.
This week I ran right by an AT member and did not even realize who it was until a minute or so later. There are so many Guilds in game sometimes they over lap and that's compounded if I'm running around solo concentrating on a quest at hand.
I would not take it personally, we will all try and be more vigilant in recognizing each other in game.|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: Critical Mass
I'm really not seeing a problem here. If you want to do some quests in a level range I don't see the problem in going to the three channels and asking is anyone else interested. Oh and axing the guild channels would only further fragment the different guilds. I'm a member of Lions of Tybor, for those of you that don't know.

Re: Critical Mass
Make sure you message Nemesis and or Zoopy, if you are in a TG related group other than Ars Tactika about being allied with Revenant.

Re: Critical Mass
I personally have encountered Very few members of LoT (with the exception of a few i've grouped with a couple times, and Undeads' Barbarian Skol, who i've played with quite a bit) and i don't think i've encountered a single Syndicus member yet. Course, i don't have guild tags display without selecting people.. hrmm. maybe i should change that.
Regardless, there are some things we could all do to get better at cross guild play. When looking for people to fill a group, try the other TS channels before resorting to LFM in the region chat. We also previously had a General Chat channel for AoC on TS that has now disappeared. I think we ought to put that back up, and have people spend more time there, and less time in the fragmented Guild channels. Not get rid of them by any means, as there are times when you need to discuss guild specific information. But if you're just playing around and chitchatting about AoC or whatever...there's no sense to not doing it with the larger group. That will also help people get more familiar with one another so it's less of a jump to start something in game too.
As for myself..at the moment, most of my time has been spent in Potain gathering resources while waiting for PvP minigames to pop. So you guys ever looking for more for PvP, instances, whatever, feel free to contact me. Level 80 Herald of Xotli, Xercos.Currently Playing:
