Possible Merger
Hello my fellow AT members,
Yesterday I received a /tell from Svalla from Ars Ruinae. He was telling me that most of their players have gone over to a PVE server and are left with about 15-20 players. He talked about merging with our guild because of the progress we have made and what we are all about. I think this would be a great addition to the guild. We could build our numbers and add to our ability to gather resources. If you would like some info about this guild please visit www.arsruinae.com. Two of the people in their guild have built this site from scratch and I think they could make a great addition to our technical team. I have brought this up to FK but wanted to get everyones opinion on this matter. I will really take all of your feedback to heart. If you would like to keep your feedback private feel free to PM me. I have already made points about this being a tight community and Ars Tactika name would stay. We host teamspeak so they would have to convert everything to Ars Tactika. We might employ some of their officers as officers in our guild but that can be discussed by our GL's. Gambit, FK and Broomish...please get with me on TS when we can to discuss this further and see if it is something that is do-able. Thanks for your attention,

Re: Possible Merger
As long as they register on tacticalgamer.com, I dont see why this cant happen. Would they simply be axing their guild and becoming ATers? Or do they want to keep Ars Ruinae and be a part of the TG community? As for officers, we've got a few slots open for some regardless... a few people have come and gone, and some are MIA. So they need to be augmented and/or replaced. We're definitely as a crossroads with this game, where it epic fails or lives a long life... any mergers would be terribly helpful right now.

Re: Possible Merger
Excellent. Hion, let's talk about this at the Guild meeting on Monday if you can attend.

Re: Possible Merger
I know I don't have any say in this but, from past expirence I would recommend serious consideration to these questions. I have seen promising mergers destroy both guilds involved with the merger. And was left with less then before we started the merger. I am speaking of WoW guild expirence. Also, I would recommend keeping the Officers you have at the start of the merger, so that they can learn exactly what direction the guild is going in. After they get the picture, then offer up some positions to the old guild leaders. If not, you might log on to find that you are now at war, because the new officers thought it was the best option and no one told them not too. Or, worse they give perfered item treatment to the guildmembers of the old guild. All these things have happened to me in the past with guild mergers and it can cause a lot of friction. But, if you can midigate the friction, by all means go for it.
