Rolling a new character - Saturday 7/12 @ 7:00 PM EST
I'm going to start a new character this Saturday and if anyone has been thinking about doing the same please join me Saturday on TS @ 7:00 PM EST. I'm leaning towards a Bear Shaman but exploring other classes.
If you have a low level player you just started your more than welcome to bring that one.|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Are you planning to smell the roses in tortage or just try to get in and thru it as quick as possible? The daytime quests are the same for anyone but the destiny quests generally change with your archetype which is kind of interesting. You get to see what part your original character played in events from a different viewpoint.
I'm not sure yet but maybe I'll join you with one of my promising tortage alts.Ikariam Wars = Talus - Sulfur, Talanium - Marble, Talopolis - Wine, Talusgrad - Crystal, Talusberg - Wine.

Can you skip the night time without screwing the destiny quests later on? I might join you but I would be on for two hours or so and then off for two hours, and the back on for the rest of the night. I was going to start a soldier or priest.

You have to do the night time quests to get out of tortage.

No, you don't you just need to find the smuggler, or at least that is what I have heard.

From my experience the smuggler won't do anything for you on your characters first time in tortage. Atleast he would never do anything for me.
If you return to tortage after you've left the first time then you use the smuggler to get out again.
Just from game chat I am under the impression that you have to do your destiny quest lines to get out of tortage. The day time quests aren't needed unless you fall short on xp at some point and you need to level up to be able to continue.
Maybe it is possible to have the smuggler take you off tortage without doing the destiny quests. If so you would probably have to be atleast 19 to use him since you have to be atleast 19 to do the final battle quest. I never tried this one.Ikariam Wars = Talus - Sulfur, Talanium - Marble, Talopolis - Wine, Talusgrad - Crystal, Talusberg - Wine.

I just thought of something else. If you wanted to avoid the destiny quest lines do the daytime quests you should be able to get away with it except for the final battle quest.
The fastest way would be with a group all taking the quest and doing them together(assuming that the mobs you need are actually available). Once the group has done all the daytime quests and grinding that it wants to do and assuming your atleast 19 you go to night time and use the skip quest option that they gave us incase of broken quest lines. Skip all the quests up to the final battle (who knows you might be able to skip it also) go thru the final battle and then next stop is your home territory.
Technically this would still be considered doing your destiny quests though.Ikariam Wars = Talus - Sulfur, Talanium - Marble, Talopolis - Wine, Talusgrad - Crystal, Talusberg - Wine.

I have a level 5 Dark Templar that only got to Tortage, I could probably just use him...
Or make a Demonologist just to experience weak casters again.

It was a lot of fun. Some crazy pvp battles that were really won on great coordination and teamwork. I hope we can continue in an organized group with those characters. Maybe an alt night or something once a week?
