The "Tacticalbot"
I gotta say, I fooled with this last night (my first time seeing it) and it's a helluva tool. It basically takes all the missing UI functions (for the guild especially) and adds them. Kudos to Saik0 for doing the work on this.
We're going to have to run a primer on how to use it though, and get all the guilds of TG on the bandwagon.
I sense this mod was tailor-made for TG, especially with our guild/squad format.

Re: The "Tacticalbot"
Yeah it's really been coming together. The core and most of the generic functions were created by the developers of Bebot, It's an old Anarchy Online bot that was ported over to work with AoC. I've modified it pretty heavily to meet the needs of the TG community, still much work to be done, but thanks for the positive feedback.

Re: The "Tacticalbot"
Yes, it works great. I'd like some type of command key list - maybe in game?

Re: The "Tacticalbot"
Is Syndicusbot going to come back online? Or will we all integrate into using Tacticalbot once you have the multiguild access figured out?

XBox360 GamerTag: P8riotOne (but it might also be my son playing - he can game with TG tho!)

Re: The "Tacticalbot"
Your both from Lions right? I forgot to mention to say what guild you were in.
It is useful to have your own guild bot. For syndicus ideally it would be the former, but I'm not sure if thats possible with the current bot core without rewiting a huge amount of it. I'm going to have a talk with the bot authors and see.

Re: The "Tacticalbot"
After a long nights work multi guild bots are now working! We share an online database, and we'll probably share a raid scheduler, everything else is unique to each bot. To accomplish this there was some major database restructuring going on, so that each bot can have it's own roster of members, suffice it to say that anybody thats not in Ars Tactika is no longer a member of the bot.
However.....Syndicusbot is back online! And will be autoadding members to himself properly!
Now to work on a chat relay.

Re: The "Tacticalbot"
Seriously Saik0, you need to publish this (maybe even charge money for it if possible). At the very least when it's done (or near done) throw it up on cursegaming... better yet, throw it up on your own website and ask for paypal donations.
Now I feel stupid for not learning SQL.... er, not paying attention whilst I was SUPPOSED to be learning it.
p.s.
This thing can track gear and levels also? If so, that'd give much greater functionality to the guild manager sites (assuming we could figure out how to integrate them). I'd bet the guy who runs dkpsystem would pay for the bot, or at least help out with it... as currently, there's nothing available anywhere that parses info. for AoC.

Re: The "Tacticalbot"
It does track levels, gear not really right now. It's still early beta, in time it will be able to handle gear and raid sheduling/dkp type stuff.
It's not possible to integrate with dkp system because I maintain the database, the dkp author could do something like that if he also ran the bots for the guild when they signed up. Or we could roll our own guild manager. The databse and alot of the php functions are there, it's just a matter of doing the work. The bot I'm using is free and open source by the way, so I cant really make money, and it's already published. =)
