Priest of Mitra tier 1 (epic) shoulders and chest.
Having arrived at Level 80 , I'm glad to be done with the level trek, but I'm also at a loss as to what to do until we get sufficient numbers to do raiding at this level. I really don't like trying to pug it if it can be avoided.
So...honestly...I'm concerned for what I could/should be doing other than working on my crafting with this toon.
Ideas?

We've got the numbers now between the 3 guilds if we can get everyone together. Any holes you should be able to make up with lvl 60+ apprentices also, but really you shouldnt have to.
Someone lvl 80 needs to step up and form and lead a 24-man raid. I'm not there yet so obviously it aint me. You have the 3 guilds plus our allies to PUG people from (Ars Ruinaie, some Imperium, Amazons of Hyboria, and some others).
Other than that, resource gathering and crafting are integral to the guild city - so that's always a plus. Having a nice city gives bigger/better buffs which leads to better gameplay in endgame and endgame-PvP.
There's also many endgame lvl 6-man dungeons to fool with.
And of course there's the arenas.
Note: I didnt mention the Border Kingdoms because I'm still unsure how that system works currently or even how buggy it is. There is a build currently on the Test server that seriously revamps the system, so I'm not real hot-to-trot with that until it goes live... which is very soon.
Ultimately, our goal is to dominate the Border Kingdoms... but, to do that we need to get into some better gear and hone our skills, along with increase our guild city. (assuming they get the bugs out of the system)

Jump down to the lions channel occasionally, we are looking for a high level healer so we can run most of the 70+ instances.

Can you guys just make sure you use the party or Raid channels when you move out? This will keep things a bit more transparent on Teamspeak for new people popping in wondering what's going on. Seeing 20+ people in a Raid channel is a powerful attractant and motivator. (sounds stupid but it's true)

I'm not sure conq is a must, however useful they are. I think Healer and Tank are the only true necessities.
A mage class would be most wise however. The damage mitigation of our shields are truly impressive in group settings. And if it's Melee Heavy, HoX like myself add additional fire damage procs to every melee in the party. (provided that they're specced right, but i've yet to see a HoX worth anything without Imp. Fiery weapons.)

Conq. are the only class with a battle-res and their buffs/debuffs can make a grp. much more deadly than it actually is.
I'm sure you can go into battle without em but from what I've heard they're a tremendous help. Obviously healers are a must, but Guardians arent the only ones that can tank either... totally depends on the build of the Soldier really.
But hey, this is the beauty of AoC. The endless class dynamics. The shifting tactics dependent on feat builds, classes, etc. Every class has a little something the other classes can do. A good grp. will make it happen no matter what.
When you get everyone together for the Raid just do the standard pre-op formalities and stick all the main classes together in the same groups to see what you've got.

I did say Tank, not Guardian. Heh. Be more than happy to take an appropriately specced and capable Dark Templar or Conqueror.
And i do agree with everything you said. I was just bringing to light the fact that it's really roles that are important, not Classes.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
Things usually unfold faster than...
