Moving on
I seem to have reached a point of no interest in AoC, so I have canceled my subscription. I will be happy to transfer my in-game gold and any useful items to the guild...or a guild officer. My account is paid through 9/6/2008.
As to why, though I enjoyed the questing and leveling process, once I hit 80, there wasn't sufficient reason to spend time in game. If we were doing 25 man raids, I might have hung in there, but that seems still some distance away.
I wish you all good hunting and good luck with your 'toons. AoC is a game with huge promise with touches of great fun and playability.
And...in case someone asks...I'm not playing WoW now either.

Re: Moving on
Wondering were you've been(!) - we will miss you in game. Hopefully you have enough interest to come back as they are supposed to be releasing new content soon. Keep checking the forums now and then.

Re: Moving on
Hate to see you go. I know I've been taking a little break from AOC. I've been shooting people instead of stabbing them in BF2142 and doing some of the special events.
Like FKD said hopefully you'll keep checking back as they add more content. Looks likely that they will be adding in the criminal system this week if everything is ok on test server.Ikariam Wars = Talus - Sulfur, Talanium - Marble, Talopolis - Wine, Talusgrad - Crystal, Talusberg - Wine.

Re: Moving on
I look at this news as a deadline to get our acts together. We have until Sept. 6th to get the 25-mans going. It's in the game, we just havent done it. Let's kick the tires and light the fires folks.

Re: Moving on
can I be z 4 tankz?
the app system might help but its no replacement for an 80. I also don't know of another 80 guard and I'm not sure if I'll even be good enough to tank the crap in thereReapator, overlord of ponies

Re: Moving on
Everyone needs to be close to 80 to even attempt a Raid. I did Vistrix last night with almost all 80's and it was pretty much impossible.

Re: Moving on
I wholeheartedly agree that the tanks(s) definitely need to be 80, and anyone in close melee for that matter. But one would think you could get away with fewer 80s otherwise.

Re: Moving on
The gem nerf is gonna be the nail in your coffin? Really?

Re: Moving on
It's not really a nerf, it's as close as you can get to removing them without actually removing them. For instance a gem that added 8.9 damage will now add 0.5 damage. Now imagine if you spent 25+ gold to get those gems.
