I wouldn't have anything against that noob nights would be moved to fridays or saturdays.

Hey fellas. Just a quick question. I played this game pre-release, and it seemed pretty cool, but there were a lot of issues with it. Talking to people who got it at release, they thought pretty much the same, and decided to stop playing because of it. Have they fixed a lot of the issues that were with the game? Smoothed out a lot of their edges? AoC always appealed to me, I just didn't want to pay for it if it was gonna turn me off.

It's a totally different game right now. Or rather, the same game but polished exponentially. Matter of fact, today was one of the most significant patches they've ever had. A lot of serious gameplay tweaks were implemented, especially the new "notoriety" system.

I'd be willing to say now's pretty much the perfect time to try the game. I have 1 trial account left, but I'm not giving it out because every trial I've given has been wasted. Honestly though, for $50 it's worth it just to try. When you think about it, you can put more time into AoC than a game like Fallout 3, which is a single-player RPG... even if you dont end up subbing. So the logic behind not playing an MMO because you might not like it is false... treat them like every other game. The subscription only comes into play if you end up not liking it... just dont sub. Regardless, you've gotten your $50 worth.

Yeah - it's a go.

Pre-release was ROUGH compared to what it is now. The recent patch was so vast.. well it wasn't even really a patch.. more like some patches and a big upgrade. AND they aren't done YET! I know I don't feel like I've wasted my money at all and I've been subscribed and playing since pre-release.

I think I've got a few passes left for an SM.. but it's worth just getting - like Gambit said.

haha ok. Maybe i will. Now I just need to decide what I'm going to give up.. Eve Online.. WoW.... BF2142?? naw... not the last, i need an FPS... HMM!

Easy - once you AoC.. WoW will seem pretty tame.
