Smile Re: New to Age of Conan or TG? Drop a "HI"

Hi, been inactive from the forums for quite a while now however I've managed to find some time in my day to play games.

Age of Conan is going to be a great game. I've been following it for ages and really looking forward to it, especially since I'm getting a new graphics card.

I've been playing some COD4 and may get back into BF2142.

It would really be great to have a guild in AOC that I can play with, I'm only 15 and I know that alot of people would oppose me playing the game, hence it being really hard for me to find a guild.

Anyways, soon to get my Irregulars status back. Really looking forward to playing with you guys in the future.

Hi Major, your certainly welcome to discover Hyboria with us as long as you and your parents understand that the game does have a "M" rating with adult themes. I'm not advocating your purchase the game given your age. However, I can certainly attest that their will be players twice your age playing who are alot less mature than you

Re: New to Age of Conan or TG? Drop a "HI"

Hello there everyone, im looking forward to this game. I never realy liked Wow played City of Heroes when it was new and returned to it for two months last year just becaus some friends of mine forced me to it. I love the conan world and have read the Robert E. Howard Conan stories, so my hopes are high for this title.

Welcome, Protoman. Yes, we are all (im)patiently waiting for AOC The servers will be spilt in regions so if your in Sweden you will have to play a European server. I know daithi1 is in Ireland and we talked about him buying a US version of the game so we perhaps can all play together. You might consider this option as well. With the dollar where it is right now you will probably get a better deal Who knows if the region based servers will stay that way as things could change.

Thank you, it's a really sensitive subject and it's good that there are alot of understanding people as well as hostile players.

As for realms. Which is the easiest way to buy an American version? Online? what websites?

I've been looking for a good MMO for quite a while and have been following AoC's progress with anticipation. I'm very surprised to see TG supporting this game. I have a feeling this game will take up all of my Battlefield and Arma time.

Welcome ruddy! I'm in the same boat as you - waiting for an MMO that fits my tastes and AOC is shaping up to fit the bill. I think the game will have alot of qualities that we want here at TG. I am certainly seeing more and more interest from players here and May will be here shortly!

Just keep in mind that the stress test is mostly just that, a stress test. They're really just wanting to see how much load their servers can take and when things blow up; it's probably not going to be a great chance to get a feel for the real game.

There's a pretty good chance that the game will change in some big ways between this test and the release date. There's also a really good chance that 6 months after the release the game will have undergone some big changes as well. I'd say the first month after release will be what helps most in deciding what you (general you) think of a game.

Yh, with MMOs, everything improves after the servers have their bugs removed and they start running everything smoothly, plus a few addons and patches. I think that game sites shoudl review MMOs twice, once when they come out, and once 3 or 4 months later.

Hi Reaper, welcome! Sort of in the same boat so to speak, I've never played an MMO to any extent but have been waiting for Age Of Conan for quite some time. It's the one MMO I've looked at that fits my play style and suits my taste in a fantasy setting.

I've always thought the same thing. MMO's need periodic reviews. Look at how much SWG has changed. How would you feel if you read the Gamespot review then bought the game based on it? It is so different that it's not even the same game anymore.
