This is the name of our Guild moving forward!

Thanks to all who came up with suggestions. Here are some reasons for the decision:

1)It's the name of our community. We may have players who we meet in game who visit TG and are interested in games other than Age Of Conan. So, we can not only promote our Guild but the whole community at large.

2)Of the choices it was the easiest to spell and pronounce.

3)It may not fit into the lore but we have to compromise. You can stick with the lore by making sure your character name is Conanesque.

4)No favoritism on my part. I wanted something a bit more Conanesque but no one was really that excited about my suggestions.

And remember, our guild name will have NOTHING to do with our guild CITY name. Our guild city name can be whatever we want... and will likely reflect the lore of the game as well as TG. (assuming we ever get a city built)

I even like Tactical Titty Shakers better than Tactical Gamer. At least its humorous. Tactical Gamer is just bland. Even using just TG as the guild name would be better.

I would suggest "Nameless Cults". Robert E Howard also wrote many stories based on H.P. Lovecrafts mythos. REH created one of the texts used in many Mythos stories. "Nameless Cults". It is a tip of a hat to REH and any fan would appreciate it.

"Bran Mak Morn" was another character like Conan REH created. He was king of the Picts. "The Picts" could also be an option. "Partha Mac Othna" was Bran's name in disguise.

Then there is Kull, conqueror of Valusia. Any reference to Valusia could be appropriate too. The kingdoms of Mu and Kaa-u also are prevalent in those stories.

Solomon Kane is probably the next best thing to Conan. We could name the guild "Righteous Rage!"

Guild names can make or break the immersion factor for a lot of players. Tactical Gamer as a guild name is fine, though it really doesn't fit into the lore of the game.

You have to remember, that it's going to be floating above your head when most people look at you so it does hold some serious water in regards to what it's effect will be. (yes, a floating name above your head kills immersion in the first place, but we work with what we got. )

Using TG as a guild name does make complete sense, but you also have to understand why some people would be upset with it in regards to the games setting.
