I become attached to my charecters and I probably wont ever make two on two different servers. Not to mention how it would feel wasting all that time leveling up.
I wouldn't think there would be complications if we switch from a PvP to a RP-PvP at the last second.
We would still have the Tactical Gamer guild up and the 3rd will have their own Iron Wolves guild. It'll just be nice to NOT have us scattered around so much.
Plus, i think a RP-PVP seems like the most ideal choice for us seeing what people said in the vote thread. RP servers attract more mature gamers which leads to less unjustified ganking.
It's not too late for a last second decision.

I think I will be joining the 3rd on the PVP-RP server. I'm a tad disappointed in the lack of leadership on the server issue. If it were me (and it's not) I would direct all of TG's players to one server.

Rincewind give me a break. I never read a single post from you indicating that you wanted an PVP-RP server. Now, your complaining after the fact. I just can't take this criticism seriously. I'm not a mind reader. You need to post with your ideas and concerns.

Perhaps we will play an PVP-RP server. The game is just out. We need to see what direction it will take us. Nothing is in stone as of yet. Stick around.

Would someone mind explaining what is RP-PVP?

Also, is it not possible at all to play PvP on a PvE server and vice versa, so it's only one or the other exclusively? What's the big difference?

RP-PvP is basically a PvP server, but you have to remain "in character". Basically, you play as and pretend to be your character, not as some dude on the internet killing monsters. The server will have special rules that you follow.

The only difference is that on PvP servers, you can be attacked by other players anywhere outside of cities. The PvE servers will still have guild cities, PvP mini-games and the Borderlands siege conflict.

Ah, I see. If I were playing I think I'd personally prefer PvE, it would mean more safety and more exploration without being on the lookout for a horde of angry teenagers all the time...

But o the PvP servers, what effect would this have on battling guilds, would the guild cities be like BK's, and be possible to take over by other guilds?

From what I've gathered, any time you partake in PvP- be it world, mini-games or siege- you and your guild's status/ranking changes. I don't know all the ins and outs, but you have stats that are tracked every time you attack and are attacked by other players.

Guild cities are non-PvP areas just for the guilds to build and get bonuses. Battle Keeps are in the Borderland areas (siege warfare), and there can only be 8 guild-owned keeps at a time in there. This area is where guilds fight to take over other guilds' keeps.

As far as I know, the rules for tracking performance are the same on both server types. The only difference, of course, being that on PvP servers you can have your stats changed by conflict anywhere in the world except cities (since you can be attacked outside even if you don't want to be), instead of on PvE servers where it's your choice of when to participate in pvp action.

I'll let others with more insight into the PvP stuff fill in the holes.

There is no leadership issue, only the fact that the 3rd has not visited this forum to coordinate their guild with tg (if they wanted to), they have setup on the other server. Obviously thats how they wanted to go.

Fatkid has been tracking this game since 2006 on TG forums, we are here, where are they .

Point is, myself and others that have been on these forums for over months (year+) are coordinating to setup on 1(pve and pvp) server, if 3rd wanted the same (with the rest of us), they would have voiced their opinion.
