Protective Action Operations Model
Situation:
There have been reports from the Field of the Dead that characters in their 40's are being criminally assisted by level 80 guild-mates in PvP combat. Their mode of operation is to remain ungrouped, the lower level aggressor attacks all comers level 30-50, during combat, the level 80 guild-mates support the aggressor by providing buffs and heals to the aggressor. This tactic circumvents the accumulation of Murder Points by the higher level supporters.
Nature of the Aggressors:
They boldly and visibly camp outside of resurrection points and the lower level aggressor attacks unsuspecting or unsupported characters repeatedly outside the guards zone of aggro. When confronted by higher level characters engaging them - their response is to run.
Tactics of Protective Action:
Be a visible presence in the area these bandits choose to operate. If taunted by the supported aggressor, similar level protectors may engage - perhaps with the appearance of only one at a time, but if additional troops are available - overwhelming force in numbers is permitted to defeat the aggressor. Prior to engaging the aggressor, higher level protective support members should flank each side and rush the higher level support aggressors.
Notes:
It will be obvious we are up to something showing our guild tags all together in one area. It may be enough to discourage gankers from camping the area we are in - although we may spread out to make it appear less obvious.
Higher level support should not group with lower level protectors to avoid accumulating Murder Points by accident. You may find you accidentally accumulate Murder Points in a skirmish, but don't fear, you are still pretty safe until you hit 100 points.
Switch you general chat to Local so we are only broadcasting our intentions to the immediate area - we don't want to attract the anti-ganker gankers from all over Hyborea.
Mount UP!
