Welp, I was aware originally that jinking side-to-side via the double-tap made it hard for one to hit you (specifically ranged dmg). What I didnt realize that jinking fwd. and back gives similar benefits, only better.
Jinking fwd. towards your enemy gives you an attack bonus; the chance to stun your opponent on your next combo. Yes... that's right.. STUN... And a FREE stun for everyone. And very rarely have I failed to stun someone using this tactic. As soon as they're stunned, pick your most powerful combo you have available regardless of direction (since they'll have no defense).
Jinking back gives you a huge defense bonus in melee, making you near impossible to hit. Couple that with a quick jink fwd. right afterwards and you've got a pretty powerful strat. Jink fwd. into melee, stun, combo, jink back to guard the repose, then jink fwd again... rinse, wash, repeat. (especially on newb pvpers who dont close the distance in time)
All these abilities pop up as buffs in the effects tray and have probably got to be the most underused tactics in the game. Now that I realize exactly what they do though, I use em all the time when I'm in melee.
So wait, when does the stun actually proc? I know you said off of a combo, but your wording later is a little confusing:

So do you jink forward, do a combo and then the stun procs? Or do you jink forward and your stun procs from the next melee attack, opening them up for a damaging combo hit?
Does this work on mobs as well as players? How long is the stun? Are there diminishing returns?

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
