Closed Beta Schedule and News
Wednesday, June 17, 2009 —
The second Aion closed beta event kicks off this weekend Friday, June 19th (12:00 PM PT, 9:00 PM CEST, 8:00 PM BST) and ends Monday, June 22nd (12:00 PM PT, 9:00 PM CEST, 8:00 PM BST).

For this event, enthusiastic testers will focus on the beginning player experience for the Asmodians as well as testing server stability and live launch simulation. Take the time to read the story of your quests, pay close attention to the words of the NPCs sharing their knowledge with you, and explore the first ten levels in the shadowy world of Asmodae during this weekend's exciting beta event.

If you're a part of this weekend's closed beta event, drop by the official beta forums beginning on June 18 to share your reports and experiences.

Thanks to the diligence and reporting from the first closed beta event, this weekend's event also features several updates and changes in the game content:

- Updated with culturalized content for Asmodian levels 1-10
- Updated UI at login screen
- Localization fixes for various in game maps
- Fixed various NPC messages
- Initial zone channels increased from 4 to 10
- Server queue added

- Localized tutorial videos
- In game pre-rendered movies
- More culturalized content for Asmodae

Just checking in.

Monday wasn't to bad. Found a good spot and almost have a complete set of Lvl 12 Greens for both toons.

Will keep an eye out here for updates.

Just saying hi and seeing what's up... Got to play a little this morning before the servers went down and I'm really thinking about what side to play on. Next beta I will play more on Celest but I would like to see what the Asmodians' have to offer, seems kinda fun.

Glad to see you found us. Just so you both know you can find us on Teamspeak by clicking the resource tab above and then click Teamspeak for easy instructions on how to get on our TS server!

Well it seems the next beta, they are going to focus more on the Asmodians. Play time for the bad guys.

I can never get team speak to work right on my computer... I usually stick to typing.... or Skype

Well actually we will be able to lvl both Asmodians and Elyos to 20 this 4th of July weekend. The FOCUS is on Asmodians meaning the beta feedback the devs want is Asmodian 1-20. The Focus for the weekend we played was Asmodian 1-10 but as you know we were still allowed to play Elyos. I did spend some time in Asmodia and found it shockingly beautiful. Very nice landscape. I started A warrior - To be templar and Scout - to be Assassin. I hope they let us keep our characters from this past weekend.

Nice link... I haven't got far on asmodian, but seeing the shots on that link, and from what I saw, that Side is very shockingly beautiful as you said. The art style and Character design are beautifully done, and though there are only 2 races in the game, the customization allows for a lot of variation compared to say a game like WoW.

I can't wait to use flight as a combat tactic, though I got my wings I never actually considered it but in some areas I did see people using it against mobs wondering if it actually worked like that.

Hey all Epy here,

Just posting rq before i have to leave for work. Having a blast so far... our legion full of some really cool ppls so far. I started playing this from the first NA closed beta. I had been playing FFXI online since the ps2 release. I made wonderful friends there and had good times, but now it's time to move on. I look forward to forming the same kinds of lasting bonds in this game as well. I have my fiance' as well as my best friend and little bro in law that would like to join if we have room. My Fiance's name is "Kurai" and should be on soon. My friend is "Daivd" and lil bro is "Hatnclox". see you all later ^^/
