Re: TG Legion - new members say hello
im betting less. i dont think they'll wait until the last minute to do an open beta. plus, i wouldnt be surprised to see a nice big 1.5 patch for OB. oh yeah, and getting drakes memory and going to the noob area as a dragon makes people pee themselves. especially when you fly around one shotting the super-noob level mobs and saying "MMMMM...Dragon want lunch! Wonder what PEOPLE taste like!"
heres what i mean if you didnt see it at the end of the beta today:

Re: TG Legion - new members say hello
Not to mention the fact that "open beta" is never really a beta. It's usually a full release opened to the public to entice people to play the game. I hope its only a week though...

My wife and I have preordered. We will be playing on whatever server our guild, Reverence, chooses.

Re: TG Legion - new members say hello
Hi all. Returning TG'er here after a long hiatus due to RL. I saw your recruitment thread on AionSource and I'm happy to be back with a great community. I just preordered but didn't get a chance to play in the CB so I'm looking forward to playing with and getting to know you all during OB and beyond.
I'm planning on playing as one of the the Scout classes but not sure which till I get a chance to try them out (leaning towards Ranger atm).Last edited by Halligan; 08-27-2009 at 09:22 PM. Reason: cant have "ing" without the "n"

Re: TG Legion - new members say hello
So the thread IS working. Oh, how our dark magic works wonders.
Welcome back to TG Halligan!
If you want some advice on playing the scout classes:
The assassin has a fairly steady level progression, but is fairly hard to run with in PvE because its a melee class with paper thin armor. However, it can be a goldmine in PvP.
The ranger is really rough once you get past about level 10-12 all the way up until you get to level 20+. You have 8 or 10 levels of hell. The damage output for rangers during this period of time is horrid, the skills are relatively lacking and you cant fight more than one mob at a time without resting to heal (god help you if you try and fight something tough). However, once you hit 25+, your skills really start to ramp up and the ranger quickly becomes one of the deadliest classes in the game (quite truely a PvP god in the right hands).
However, if you make either of these classes and have the opportunity to party up for some quick XP once you get upwards of 10, you can play fairly safe until you reach higher (ass-kicking) levels. Feel free to let me know if you want to test either of them out in open beta. I'm playing a Gladiator and would be more than happy to tank.

Re: TG Legion - new members say hello
Ferris, thanks for the welcome and all the great information. Grouping up sounds great although it looks like I'm going to be away for the first day or two of OB. I'm hoping to test them both out to get a feel for how they play.
