Discussion: AION / AION - Elyos (Triniel) - Crafting Circle 3 (New Thread) - See Google Doc for our particular circle updates on activity:

It will be kept
It will be kept up to date as much as possible. For work order requests, if you post it in the forum in this thread or I hear about it, I will add it to the Requests sheet. If you need resources of specific types or advertising to the group what you need, post in the thread and I will update the spreadsheet under Resources.
Help us keep it up to date Circle 3. Any suggestions are welcome. I'll update this tonight when I finally get back online. I hope this will keep us more organized and more aware of how our circle is interacting as it is still all new.
Since Jakaleel has been inactive for a while without any activity or communication, Varcan (Quade) is now our official Armorsmith. He is also our official weaponsmith at this time. Please send your unneeded materials to him. He will be focusing on leveling armorsmithing and has it at 100 already.
Quade has put in considerable amounts of time gathering materials to do this. Please see the Google Doc for updates.
To follow up on Meatwad's note: Please send all low level or otherwise junk manastones to me in our circle. I can combine several low level manastones into higher level ones (though it does get quite costly to do). This will help us craft better manastones (both high level and green manastones).
Armor Fluxes
Anyone who can craft armor (Tailoring, Armorsmith) needs armor fluxes. Please send armor fluxes that you are not keeping to your respective Circle Crafter.
Accessory Fluxes
Anyone who can craft accessories (Tailoring, Handicrafting) needs accessory fluxes. Please send accessory fluxes that you are not keeping to your respective Circle Crafter.
Potion Requests
Please send me mail requesting potions if you need them. Be sure to send alchemy material to me so we can create a steady supply of potions.
Armor Smithing/Weapon Smithing
Varcan (Quade) is our Armor/Weapon Smith. Please send him all unneeded ore and other types of material.
Kinah
Yet another reminder that everything crafted costs Kinah. For example, making 40-50 potions will cost 3-5k Kinah. 1000 potions will cost 60k kinah at the very least just from buying glass bottles. Crafting armor that requires unique or specific material that a crafter generally does not carry will cost Kinah off the broker. Please try your best to provide the necessary materials when making very specific or special requests, or ask your circle crafter on what they will need beforehand. I know you guys need your Kinah for skills and other costs, but even small donations of 1000+ Kinah regularly can go a long way in deferring costs. Crafting from 200-300 costs around 740,000 Kinah. The upgrade to 300 costs 470,000 Kinah alone.
Requesting Stuff
If you supply your resources regularly that you don't need to the appropriate crafter, you should not have to worry about providing the same resources to the crafter. However, some items do require special items such as high grade (insert item here) which the crafter may not carry. Other crafters however may have those items. I think it is appropriate to ask each crafter to pool those resources together for you in this case. So in short, participate in your circle if you want that advantage.
are we selling extra crafted gear on the broker? i assume so, is there any profit there short-term? Long-term i would expect all profit to go back into the crafting.
Note: My calculations were wrong. It takes 970,000 Kinah to go from 200-300!

While I know some other crafters may have sold surplus materials on the broker, I do not know of any crafted gear going to the broker. On selling crafted gear to the broker however, there can be short term profits. The problem with doing this is that I do not believe there is nearly enough materials going to crafters to actually make this worth while. Crafting itself is difficult (time consuming as well), and getting the critical proc to get a superior item (which sells for boatloads more), can take several tries.
How the heck did you get 1 million kinah extra to craft? +Books, +Warehouse, +Cube, +Gear, etc..
I must be missing something on how to get cash quick...
Well I first cornered the market on sigmas. At first I put them up too high, but what that did was create a ceiling which I could later manipulate. After making a good amount of kinah off sigma trading, I moved into smaller micro-transaction trades on the broker. Sometimes I would buy items off the broker that were cheaper than what the shopkeep was paying and sell it to the shopkeep. Sometimes I would corner the market on smaller items like designs here and there.
While crafting I get a lot of duplicate recipes. These I slowly resell, at prices people will buy, but usually 3-5 times what I'd get from the shopkeep. I also made some amount of cash making some quest item thin leather cords for high level 40+s which they paid 5k a pop for. This being said, I also keep the broker selling stuff all the time and recheck the prices I am selling it at so that they are competitive. All the additional stuff I have to sell I keep in the mailbox or bank.
I did consider crafting using the materials given to me but calculating that out it merely breaks even. And it reduces the supply of materials we have. I don't buy gear off the broker, nor do I make any for myself (yet).
There are a lot of other little things that contribute to the trickle of kinah. In the end though, I've finally mastered Tailoring, and will master Alchemy when we actually get to that level of potion usage (nobody in our circle can even collect the materials yet). Also, some nice people have sent my Kinah (like Tllyx, or Spookyprawn).
Bravo Microsoft, you have now surpassed EA in poor decisions and once and for all seized the crown for the worst 'Reveal' ever. That EA were standing there on the stage with you when you did it was...

It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
