Spiritmaster.....they have a awesome ability to "summon" group members to your position, as well as being absolutely bad ass in pvp.

Templars. Although very high maintenance (gear-wise), they can tank like no other and can be fearsome in pvp.
I personally made a Sorcerer as my Chanter's alt because it seems I like healing hybrids and magic-wielding damage dealers

Order of need?
Probably Templar, then Spiritmaster, then Ranger. We got lots of clerics, assassins, glads, and sorcs.

I rolled an alt assassin, glad, and SM. I really enjoy my cleric in a group but my SM is fun soloing. I found the glad and sin to be meh.

Actually guys just to let you know, I currently have an Alt. character in Triniel (Elyos) at level 14 Spiritmaster named "Taboea".
