Oh I totally understand why
WoW did what they did, being low req. is a huge part of it's popularity. It just did not really embrace me, and it was not necessary the style but more so the lack of detail and everything is so spaced out. Once again you can not have a cluttered environment and low graphic req. especially if you want like 50 people on the screen at one time.
But to get away from other games, it is good to hear that Aion filled with charm and detail. Those pic/videos on the beach look amazing and hearing you guys talk about how much fun the game can be, is making me want to go out and preorder it. It is also good to hear that it seems to be gathering a following here at
TG, as that is one of my other loves of a MMORPG is having a group to go through it with. You would think that is a given with a multi-player game, but with more and more RPGs going pro solo it is not so much anymore. I rather have leveling take twice as long and have an awesome party system, then to just solo through the game. That is one reason I liked FFXI is that you needed a group to level, and you needed a group to coordinate combos/chains together. The down side was it took forever to get a group set up and get out to a leveling site and then just hoped your white mage stayed long enough so you could get some XP.
Speaking of that I know Aion has a combo system, does it play into group fighting at all? Is there any unique party features in the game or epic/group quests?
