Re: Aion: First Discussion for Live Server Choice
Ok, so I put the numbers together from those screens. Now if we're using legion points to kinda make a guess as to which server is going to be mid pack (i'd be willing to bet that a good 75% of the people who played on any given server are going to stay there), heres how the numbers line up for the #1 Elyos legion on each server (ranked high to low):
Israphel: 1.2m points.
Siel: 680k points.
Nezekan: 322k points.
Zikel: 190k points.
Vaizel: 131k points.
Triniel: 62k points.
Now, those numbers probably arent that indicative of how the pvp functions on the servers. Every time I logged in, it always said Siel had a high population while all of the other servers read Low. Based on that, the numbers for Israphel and Siel should be reversed, but somehow it has half the points for the top ranked legion. However, taking a deeper analysis, you see a huge gap between the #1 and #2 legions on israphel, while on siel theres 3 legions almost dead heat with each other for the 1,2 and 3 spots.
So after breaking the numbers down, and based on the "which server are you going to join for release" threads on various fansite forums, my current vote would put us on Nezekan or Vaizel. These seem to be the servers with the best mid-range population votes and the seemingly most even balanced pvp and legion points.
However, I'm still going to reserve judgment until after open beta to make a final call on where I think we oughtta go.
