Gold Farmers
Since they are getting so much attention, I thought I would repost something that was also posted in the Aion Source forums.

It was a very good lecture and was somewhat eye opening but I would say I imagined the senerio whenever I thought of what gold farming operations looked/operated like. I like his point at the end where he states that regular gamers pay to play the game or rather People are paying to be able to advance in the game and yet dispise gold farmers b/c they enable people to pay to advance in the game.
I would say Im still against gold farming and the use of gold farming but I do not hate them. Why? They show me all the good spots to camp.

I thought the presentation was very good. I have never had anything against gold farmers and this video has made me respect the gold farmers somewhat. Like one of the people were saying, why work in a hot (100-125F) Chinese factories when you can work in a cooled environment which you don't have to worry about physical injuries? I still can't see why people take the games so seriously that they spend more real money on in-game monies. However, I could see someone wanting to have his char power leveled and the two are related.
Also, while the wispers about gold and power leveling could be annoying to some, the only real difference between the gold ads and the rest of the crap in the in-game chat is that a bell sounds. The only chat i bother reading is the group, legion, and LFG chat at times.|TG-XV|Viking

I believe most of the whispers are from their whisper bots that do searches and whisper people that way. Rarely should they be done by real people unless the gold farming company is low tech. Meatwad, why are you suggesting I'm a gold farmer!!? LOL
