Server Maintenance September 30, 2009
We are bringing the servers down at 3 a.m. PDT (more), September 30, 2009 for maintenance. During this maintenance, we will apply the latest patch 1.5.0.8 across all North American and European servers.
The maintenance is expected to take roughly 2 hours.

* Dredgion Instance Maps now show in correct languages
* Item comparison tooltip has been rearranged

Don't know what you mean by this, since this is the general discussion forum. To add to this there was server maintenance performed this morning. Unmentioned changes from yesterday that NCSoft corrected today:

You can right click people's names in the chat window and block from there.
You must be level 5 to whisper.
(I actually don't know if this was part of the patch last night, or part of the maintenance this morning).

I mean are your channels working? Pretty straight forward. When you log in type /1 boo. does it say /1 boo in local or go to the General channel. I was curious if it was both sides having the problem or only the Asmodians.

Now they are working
I think both sides as a server experience the chat outage, but I could be wrong.

Ah. So you guys probably noticed that there are some chat server problems. Originally Posted by Greyed
Generally the chat servers will attempt to reconnect themselves and you can use the /1 - /9 channels. However, Aion has been experiencing overload (just look at em queues sometimes) and therefore the chat servers for server wide chat (global) goes offline or cant accept new connections.
To reconnect you can either wait, or better yet quit aion and log back in. Logging back in usually fixes the problem, and you skip the queue as long as you do it within 5 minutes I think.

Odd, didn't think it was something specific to me since I generally log id during low-volume times (I work graves so prime-time is shower/shave/eat/get to work time for me) and it happened two days running. Ah well, I'll give that a try if it persists. Thanks.
