Potential temporary fix for freezing
Original link: http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic.php?t=299457
Basically he says:
Anyone else get this to fix their issue? On the AA forums, most people are saying its working with a few having to do it multiple times.the 1 thing that made all this trouble was a file named:
aa3_edata.client.fmap
which is located at:
DeployVersion: UsArmy/Americas Army3/Binaries/
SteamVersion: Steam/Steamapps/Common/Americas Army3/Binaries/
when i delete this file, i can get in any multiplayer server without any freeze.
so whoever got the same problem, try deleting this single file and see if it helps.
o btw, you gonna have to delete it after every time you play in a server. so if you leave a server you gonna need to exit game delete file and go in again.

This is such a bodged game.. We're going to need a script to run constantly to fix all the bugs as we play. I already have a script to force quit the damn game on a shortcut key. I'm nearly out of keys!!
What will be next? Don't play online at all? or even switch on your PC in fear that we find yet another bug they need to fix..BF3 Soldier: DrSparky

Re: Potential temporary fix for freezing
you can also delete any temp files in there.
This works but not always. I have to delete after every game i try to join. Here's hoping they get this worked out quickly.

Re: Potential temporary fix for freezing
Yeah, sometimes this works (about 75% of the time), and sometimes it doesnt. When it doesnt, I have to close out the game (force quit), and then delete the files and try again. Even though this is a major blocker to get in the game...I think the lag is become more and more of a turnoff once you get a couple of rounds in (I'm talking like .4 delay).
