VOIP how is it deployed?
I was messing around last night for the first time and noted that very few people use the in game comms.
People would talk about the round after they were dead, but few used it in a tactical sense.
My question is: During the game are you only communicated with your 4 man fireteam or your entire side?
Is there a way to switch between the two?

I have been unable to find a way to solely speak to your fireteam.
When you hit V to transmit it get's sent to the whole team.
Though one thing i did notice was that there is another key called quick chat which is bound to the letter B. But I have as yet to test what it does.

Hopefully when we can get our server up and running we'll be playing games where comms are an absolute must. That's the main reason I've stayed away from most public games now as it's just too frustrating to try and work together as a team when everybody is off doing their own thing.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. I'm still interested in playing. I check the forums on a daily basis, and I'm usually in TS somewhere. If you ever want to play just hit me up on TS.
Whats the Deal with the tiny sig limit?

Re: VOIP how is it deployed?
Agreed, use of comms system Ive seen so far is extremely disappointing and leaves much to be desired, coming from PR/ArmA background where comms are used frequently and generally with some loose tactical sense, in AA3 its just been mainly about bitching new players out or complaining about when getting shot....
Too bad they didnt implement positional audio (ArmA VON or mumble is good examples of this) or at least the ability to just talk to your fireteam. I think these are glaring oversights when developing a teamwork based FPS, and I think the public AA3 playerbase is going to suffer because of it.

Same guys. Im always looking to hook up with some TG players. Im sick of pub servers. Look me up on teamspeak, im always on. It either ArmA: Pathfinders channel or the 22nd RRR channel
