    Re: I'm New

Well, there isn't much of an AA3 community here due to the game being released in such a bad state last year. It's possible the TG honor server is still up, but I'm not sure. Even though some of the recent patches have tried to resolve a number of the game's pressing problems, it still gave such a bad first impression upon release that most people weren't interested in coming back to it. Maybe AA4 will get it right though

I'm really amazed at the play in AA3, especially since it's touted as so very realistic. While they have eliminated bunny hopping, there is still a very heavy emphasis on strafing side to side during encounters, in a manner totally unlike reality. In this matter, I find that games like Red Orchestra and Darkest Hour to be much more realistic, even though you can find some of the same gaming behavior. It's not rewarded quite so handsomely since there is no armor worn in these games, and a one round kill of your avatar is more certain than in AA3.

Ya AA3 is very close to counterstrike, it's not a realistic game or even attempting to be one but I think sometimes it's advertised that way
