Enter the noob...
*UPDATED*
Ok..thought I'd give this game a little try since I saw all the Special Forces stuff added into v2.0...
I was finally able to register an account..but cannot log into that account from the game and therefore cannot register any of my basic training completions...
I shot a SHARPSHOOTER score on the range (Yeah, I know..you guys are probably all advanced snipers) and I obviously didn't get credit for it.
So do you guys crash the pubs and all go on the same team? or do we have enough players here to play at TG?
Any tips, pointers, explanations of ANYTHING AA related would be helpful to me at this point...
I would also be interested in playing alongside you guys with TS and everything..but I am woefully behind...I haven't even finished Basic Training yet (and may never if my game won't connect...)

I'm new too. I'll play if we can all set up a time to go out together. I'm a pretty bad shot, my best is 34/40.

En4 update your account. Here is the link: http://login.americasarmy.com/index.php
Make sure your username is all lowercase and password is case sensative. All you have to do is verify your email address and make change your password to update your account. This will take away your login errors. This happenend because AAO updated their authentication servers just recently.
Now for playing I play on my clan server most of the time. Then sometimes venture off into the pubs. Anyways the server ip that is my clans is in the news section. Don't be strangers all TG members are welcome. Tonight we are running Weapons Cache SE for the map.
Sarc want some marksmenship pointers?

I'll take any pointers I can get! I'm not too concerned about getting qualified higher but I want to be sure I hit stuff in game.

lower resolution makes it easier to qualify.... quickness will help in-game

Does it make the targets bigger? I think that would help the most!

The prob was on AA's side..their server was down for a bit...
Soon as it popped back up..I qualified with my M16A2 and ran the obstacle course until I finished with an allowable time. I guess I just have to do the weapons and the MOUT and I should be able to play...
Liquid- Is the vows server an honor server? Cause I need five more honor points before I can try out for SF...

Pointers for better accuracy are lower you mouse sensitivity. Being in the crouched or prone position adds a hit bonus. Using your iron sight will also add a hit bonus, and it even matters if you are in slow or fast speed ie you can toggle by using the right shift button (default).
Fri is correct about being fast. If you aren't fast enough you will be smoked quickly. Tips for that is use a lot of strafing.
En4 yes the [VOWS] server is a honor server. So you can gain and loose honor points on it. So go at it and get those 5 honor points. :P

8) Welp..en4 is officially addicted (and speaking about myself in the third person apparently).
Just finished a long tour at the pipeline (attacking)...
Started off major sucky...but things started improving quickly..finally started dropping some enemies...less than 400 exp points needed for the next level (whatever that is!!!)...
I REALLY want to do this with TS...we gotta look into some future play dates...with TS VS a bunch of pub scrubs..we will clean house!!!
Having a great time so far!!!

As sorry as it sounds I went somewhere on the net and got the walk through for the evasion...no way I was torturing myself for three hours just to use some cool weapons.....here it is.
Start to A
From the drop point follow the trail and very soon you will find a fork in the road. Take the right fork. Stay to the left side and hug the wall. Soon you will come to a place where there is a light tower, before you get to the light tower, there is a path over the hill on the left side, take this path. It will lead you down the hill on the other side. Stay to the left to avoid a spotter on the right, the Bridge and the light tower are directly in front of you. Once you make it to the bottom of the hill you have reached checkpoint A.
A to B
Go down the right side of the bridge, and keep going right. After that, you'll come upon a fork in the road, one to a light tower and one with out. Take the one without. You'll have a similar decision again, but there will be a light tower in either direction. Pick the path where the light tower is further away. Then you'll see another light tower, keep to the left go as slow as possible and creep past it on the left. Keep going slow until you get to point B.
B to C
Head right and sneak past the light tower instead of going towards the guarded bridge. Stay on the left, the light will shine on the right against the rock wall. You'll have the cover of the rocks on the left. Go prone with speed(moving too slow here will give the light tower guard a chance to discover you). Use your binoculars before you try to sneak and try to figure out his timing. After you sneak past, get into the valley crawl right and follow that until it ends on the right. Then go up some rocks on the left and you're at checkpoint C.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

The command to type IPs instead of using the browser is easy.
The tilda key ~ or tab key opens the console. Then this is what you type:
open 69.25.16.108
This is your basic no passworded game it will take you straight to the game as long as its not full. Now with a password it will look like this.
open 69.25.16.108?password=xxxx
Anyways AA is excellant for TS, and can have some real excellant tactics. Now if you want to get together as a TG community and play I am sure I can lock down the [VOWS] server. We are always looking to play. Now the server will be down tonight from 10-12PM EST we have a ladder match to play. Maybe we can organize a Tactical Gamer tourney/ladder team.
*smacks Fri* E&E training was easy. Now just wait till you play SF maps with SF weapons. I recommend playing the SF CSAR map. It has major points and usually ends fast.
See En4 I got you addicted! Mmmm Pipeline. Pub scrubs are always fun to beat up. Cause then they accuse you of cheating or blame it on lag. Anyways glad you like AA En4 and hope to get a game with you soon.
