Re: E&E Help (urgh)
The TG primer says that we are here to win through dignity, honor, and skill. I'm not certain that a map walkthrough encourages "winning" the training through skill.

Even with a walkthough, Objective B is really freakin' difficult. If the walkthrough had a cheat code or something, that would sap the honor pretty quickly, but man, that objective would be murderous even with a chalk line on the friggin' ground.

I agree with you Perry, except that we are also here to help each other. Doing it for them is one thing, offering a helping hand is another.

Re: E&E Help (urgh)
Helping is fine, giving the answer is something different. There are walkthrough maps out there and answers to quizzes are posted. I just hope that they stay away from TG. I like the stance that the AA.com forums take; they give general tips.

Re: E&E Help (urgh)
I know, I am having a hard time finding time to finish training. And now I am hearing about how tough E&E is.

Re: E&E Help (urgh)
Anywhere besides AA, walkthroughs might be cheap.
But the game design during training is REALLY poor.
1. They make you wait 30s between parachute attempts. "30 seconds!!"
2. The "rules" for doing the obstacle course are never specified, or implied. There are lots of non-obvious ways of doing it wrong, but all you ever hear is, "That might be YOUR way, but-" blam!
3. You don't get feedback on the level of stealth you're keeping during E&E. In real life, you'd have an idea of whether someone can see you. But in the game, sometimes they don't see you when it seems like they should. Other times you have no idea how they could possibly have seen you. If a game won't perfectly mirror real life, it is the game's responsibility to give you feedback so that you can understand it's "rules". AA falls flat on every count.
So with a game as frustratingly obtuse as AA's training, walkthrough's are perfectly legit.
Finally, there is also a very good argument that game's are for fun, and game's are personal, and game's are for personal fun. That means that if someone has more fun doing it by a walkthrough rather than doing it "right", then you SHOULD give him the walkthrough."You live and learn. Or you don't live long."

Re: E&E Help (urgh)
Somewhere between 14 and 16 seconds by my count, despite the guy *saying* 30 seconds. It sure would have been nice to be able to skip that crap though.
