I've had a hard time using ASE to connect to the game. It always seems to give me a critical error right after I join.

What I've had to do is look at what map we're on in ASE, then "Deploy" to that mission in-game, and join the server from there. I can never remember the IP, so this way works better for me. If you're not seeing the server in the browser, maybe you have some filters checked that shouldn't be checked?

no matter though since I have tried both and niether work for me. The starnge thing is how I dont see it on the server browser..so strange

I have never put the port after the IP address, I have had a few issues with it not connecting but I just hit f10 and try again. You are probably not seeing it in the browser because it is on a different map then the server is. I use HLSW to check the server out and see what map it is on.

Well guys, I am frustrated to the point of hysterical crying like a baby with a messy diaper.
I now have AA version with the upgraded SF patch, I have completed SF training and I still cannot even find the TG server. i have used the ~ open blah blah blha and I have looked in the browser. I did find a TG server, it wsas after i downloaded the SF patch, but I still couldnt log on, and when I finally was able to, it kicked me saying that I am not authorized to be on the server (even though punk buster is up to date and I passed SF training...)
can someone please, please copy and paste where TG is in the browser and any thing else you can think of to show me how to find the TG server? i feel like a moron already after trying everything.

Oh yea, I also have team speak enabled but I dont know how to actually talk with it. i cannot find an area that gives me the option on what buttons to config to use it for AA. hellllllllllllllpppppppppppp meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Thanks to all who have been helping so far I just dont know why I cant get this.

Have you played the game at all before? Could you have gotten your honor level below 10 by killing or injuring a teammate?

As far as TeamSpeak, I think I've seen you connected to the TG server, so that doesn't seem to be the problem. In TS, when you go in to Settings -> Sound Settings, you'll want to setup a Push to talk button. I use my middle mouse button (push down the wheel), but something else may suit you better.

As far as specific keys for TG, you'll want to get connected to the TG server, then go in to Settings -> Keysettings. Click "Add". Then under "Action" select "Switch To", then "Channel" in the next box, then "America's Army SF" in the next. Then you have to decide which key to use.. I've selected Control-F5, but I had to make sure to disable the keybinding in AA that makes Control one of the firebuttons. Set your buttons at the top and hit "Ok". Repeat two more times for the Assault and Defense channels.. I have those as Control F6 and Control F7 respectively.

So, in game, you'll start our in the America's Army SF channel then once you know what team you're on, you'll have a quick button to hit switch to that team's channel. After the map is over we'll usually switch back to the America's Army SF channel to discuss the new map and trash talk and stuff.

A nice additional tool to TeamSpeak is the TeamSpeak Overlay. It puts a little display on your screen showing what channel you're in and who's currently talking (and other info if you so desire). And by nice I mean it should almost be required -- it's that useful.

Hmm.. it's about 20 after 10 now (unless I've got my timezones confused), and I've been in the AA channel for about half an hour now. I'm gunna go play, but feel free to get my attention in the team's channel if you need help (not sure how much I can actually help, but I'll try!)

ok, i got on to the server, played for a bit. BUT, the server IP is different then you all ahve listed on this forum. When I get home from work i will post the server IP that I found that logged me on.

In this thread, the SOPs, and the main page server list the IP is: 67.19.26.146

I just tried that and it worked. But you really don't need that. If there is any confusion just make sure your server list has no active filters and look for: Tactical Gamer AA SF.
