Report In!
Since we have no mini-map or radar or anything in AA, reporting in is VERY VERY important! I know I can't keep track of where everyone is when we announce where we're going at the start of the round, so the only way I know where you are is when you report your location. It's the "U" key by default, but I've got it mapped to one of my thumb buttons on my mouse so it's real quick to report my location.
When you're alive, I can make a mini-map in my head of where my teammates are and what areas are covered. When I report in, I pay attention to where it says I am so I'm able to learn my way around the map a little better. Shipping area connects to 2nd floor hallway over to 2nd floor somethin-er-other office, etc etc..
If you go down, I can get a rough idea of where the enemy is and what area is no longer covered, then adjust my play accordingly. This is especially important when playing on defense.. If you were guarding that back alley and get shot, but hadn't reported in a while, then I don't know that that route has been compromised and that the enemy is coming that way.
So, yea, sound off like you got a pair!

Re: Report In!
If you report in frequently, just pay attention to your own reports and you'll start to learn the locations.

Re: Report In!
Or you can look onto the right hand side of your screen. It lists your current location there. Then, as an alternative to having the text message pop up, you can rattle it off over TS, which IMO is more noticable to your teammates.
