Also, it's very very difficult to be a team player without TS. Whadwegonnado? Kick everyone not on TS?

Re: Poll about an admins resposiblilty...
Last night we had plenty of pubbies that played together with us as a team. We need to try and direct people to the forum and our TS info as much as we can so we can build on the AA player base.

Re: Poll about an admins resposiblilty...
OK...thx for the comments... I just put it out there for the feedback.
Yes, I know there are problems with this game when it comes to working as a team, it's not well defined like BF2, where you join a "squad" and you see them as green... but teamspeak helps alot...
but I also heard someone over teamspeak say "My team leaders an honor 10, I ain't following him"... that to me is the wrong answer.. if you have the higher honor then you can take the leadership position away... so either lead or follow... but thats for another post...don't want to derail what we said here.Magnum

Re: Poll about an admins resposiblilty...
I agree with the above (kick because of lacking teamwork, not skill), but would like to add that we attract new members by showing off how nice working as a team is compared to lone wolfing. If you are that good it is probably not going to get you to join, but then it is lonely at the top and even wolfes are usually in a pack.
I'd say let them be, if they are in your squad, guide them to see the light, teamwork, support each other and they are going to join our ways. May the borg be with youGigabyte P35-DS3R, 2GB, 8800GTS 640MB, Core2Duo E8400

Re: Poll about an admins resposiblilty...
Dear GOD. 6 people said YES?!
Guys, don't kick for skill. Some of the best people in the GAME play on our NS server. Yes, teamwork is great. Yes, communication is great. Yes, they both are, should be, and always will be required. But SKILL takes those elements to the NEXT LEVEL.
If you put a bunch of players together who communicate, plan, and ALL SUCK, the gameplay loses... something.
Similarly, if you force people who suck to get BETTER because they're getting their asses HANDED to them by someone who is CRAZY skilled AND meets all of our other requirements, the gameplay, over time, becomes EPIC, because you're left with a playerbase of regulars who know each others' strengths, weaknesses, and everything in between. These can be exploited for some crazy fun gameplay.
No. Don't kick for skill. Kicking for the other stuff goes without saying, but don't ever kick for skill. Get your ass kicked and get better.Steam Community? Re: Poll about an admins resposiblilty...
We don't need a thread, or a poll, to discuss whether or not a player should be kicked when he's not communicating.
I would hope that we don't need a thread, or a poll, to discuss whether or not a player should be kicked when he's sopping us up with a biscuit as he DOES communicate.

Yeah, I voted yes, but provisionally: someone should be kicked if they are lone-wolfing it.

Most polls are.
But then, most polls don't involve biscuits.
So, you take the good with the bad.

Re: Poll about an admins resposiblilty...
I did the poll because I wanted the feedback from this community... and I will do it in the future...
The point is this IMO... we have this server, we pay for this server, we play a certain way... the server was open to the public... but when an honor 90+ gets into the server and runs it to the ground with his skills and lack of teamwork (his RAMBO game play style)... and I read frustration and see members leaving because the game just ain't fun anymore... my job as an admin is to keep our servers fair and fun for members, while recruiting for TG... I wouldn't just kick him, but I was very close to explaining to him that his skills are too good for our gameplay and members and he should find another server more to his caliber, then ask him to leave, (I didn't do this, just considered it).
you may or may not agree with me and thats fine, but I'll ask and get feedback from members of this community on any subject I have a question about. You don't need to reply or participate in the feedback, especially if you don't even play the game... but the members have a right for open and free discussion.
The poll is clear, and I won't kick for skill reasons, but I will not tolerate RAMBO's who come into our house and ruin the teamwork and game play for the SM's of this group.
thx you for your time and feedback.Magnum
