how do I hot key TS?
I have been just alt, tabbing out to change TS channels...
How do you guys bind those keys to change to different sub-channels? Never done it before.Magnum

Settings --> Key Settings --> Add --> Select the button to bind then select the action to bind to.

- Goto Teamspeak Settings Menu and choose Key Settings
- Press Add
- Press Set to define the key combinations (ex. Ctrl + Alt + Q)
- And then from Actions, define what will be the response (ex. Switch To > Channel > Defense)

I'm just learning about this, too, but it seems great. It allows anyone to put up an article on anything. Anyone can then edit the article, and then anyone can then edit or "roll back" the edit! It allows for very up to date articles. To participate, just register on the TacticalWiki site and then start writing. I'm not familiar with wiki code, yet, though, so I can't help you there...

The Wiki is cool! I'm the party guilty of putting all that junk on the AA page so far, at least I don't think anyone else has added anything.
It's great for creating a community-run info site.. we can all add stuff and edit stuff and whatever. If something worthwhile is posted here, then anyone can add it to the Wiki so we can use it later. Or we can all work on a HOWTO for, for example, the TS binds

By the way Magnum, you'll want three "switch to" hot keys; Assault, Defense and AA SF Channel.
Now for a suggestion; rather than everyone switching to the main room and back again after a round why don't we use a channel whisper? We use that in Falcon and it works great. That way you can stay in your channel but still talk to everyone. Just a suggestion.New to TG? Start here!

In regards to whispering. 1) When players get switched in-game between rounds they will need to switch channels anyway. 2) Dead players that want to chat/commentate which each other can switch to the main channel till they spawn without interfering with the live players. 3) We'd have to enforce that players do not whisper between channels during a live round.
I dunno, on one hand the whispering sounds easy if you don't plan on moving. On the other hand if you want to chat when dead with other dead whispering won't work. And for whispering between rounds to not miss anyone, everyone will need the additional settings in place.
IMO, channel switching seems to be the thing to do..

I'm not that experienced with TS, but if I'm in my assault channel, and someone whispers to the main channel, am I able to hear that? I don't understand that part.
Don't know if it's just my system or what, but I setup Ctrl-F6, F7, & F8 (the F keys split at 6 on my keyboard, so it's just the first three on the right of the split) to switch, and the default AA binding makes Control a fire button.. So when I'd switch channels at the start of a round, I'd end up firing a shot or 3. I just unbound Control in AA and that solved the problem, but it's just something to watch out for so you don't get a TK the first time you try to switch channels when a round starts.

You can make keys in TS to whisper to a channel, channels, and players. It's like a transmit key that carries your voice to designated targets. For example, if you are in assault channel and you hit your whisper to defense channel key and say "Haha I got you!", the people in defense will hear it and not the people in your channel (assault). You could however set up a whisper key to transmit to multiple channels, such as defense + assault + AA main chan, so when you say something with that whisper key it can go to all of the AA channels.
What I'm sure of is that they will hear you. But they may not necessarily know you are not in the same channel as them and respond with their regular channel transmit thinking you are there and you would miss the response, unless they use a whisper to all AA channels to cover the bases..

Pretend 3 guys are in the assualt channel and 3 guys in the defense channel.
One defense and one assualt are killed. They want to talk to each other. If they use a whisper then the 4 remaining guys that are alive will hear what the dead guys as they talk about AA graphics and thier favourite sniper rifle.
I would find that annoying if I was trying to communicate with my team mates.
